Thank you both for this bonus episode on your wonderful trip. I enjoyed the recapping of all the places that you visited. Thank you for your time, effort and sharing this experience with us all. All the very best for a wonderful 2025 🎉🎉🎉 and here’s hoping that the Dragons and the Sharks have a successful season 🤞🤞 l look forward to seeing what you get up to next.
Thanks Darren. If it's a Dragons and Sharks final we will definitely have to catch up somehow and watch it together! Fingers crossed John retires this year and we can do WA without the pressure of a return date. Cheers Sharyn
When you see your trip highlights you realise how much you saw, did and travelled, great fuel economy by the way. Thoroughly enjoyed tripping with you. We have a trip planned for this year. Driving from Perth to Broome going mostly on the inland roads then we board a boat in Broome, 20 pax only so fairly intimate and cruise the Kimberly Coast to Wyndham fly back to Broome then drive back to Kununurra to do all around the Ord etc then slowly make our way back home to Perth. Watching your trip has really shown me the Iridium 13S is certainly up to the trip. Happy 2025
Wow, your trip sounds amazing. Hope you post lots of pics? I'd love to follow. Currently have my fingers crossed that John will retire and we can go to WA with no firm return date. Happy New Year, Sharyn
Good to see you are a Sharkies supporter, my brother played for them in the 90's, My wife & I hope to emulate your journey, hopefully without any issues next year.
John has followed Cronulla all his life and was lucky to be at THAT grand final. Hope you have a great trip and our thoughts help you along the way. Definitely think we will be back one day but probably WA for us next year. Cheers Sharyn
What a great recap of your trip! Thanks for sharing all those tips and tricks. We also enjoyed Undara & Cobbold Gorge last year albeit at the very beginning of the season. All the best for 2025.
So glad you got something useful out of the video. Could not make one so big every week. I'm still surprised Undara & Cobbold Gorge are not talked about more. I absolutely loved the area. Happy New Year, Sharyn
thks for the wrap up guys. We are heading up to the Cape and then QLD in July (from CBR). This was really informative and helpful. Your vids are great! cheers
Lovely ep and great spots guys. I love Cape York my favorite spot around Aus to free camp , fish, and explore I been up 21 times in 42 years, I did the Cape and Kimberly in our old 4wd towing our 5m tinny this year and I did the Tanami and plenty on the way home, roads where all good.
Sounds like you have had a great time travelling Australia. Kimberly is on my list, hopefully next year. So many people commented that they want all the roads to the Cape sealed but I actually think it will change the experience. Have a lovely new year. Cheers Sharyn
@@sharyns.shenanigans I have I did a lap in 1988, , Yes I agree, It will change for the worse for sure, The Kimberley and up around Kalumburu is awesome Thanks HYN to you two as well.
Happy New Year to you too. John's work was so understanding and immediately changed the leave, all he had to do was give them a certificate from the doctor. I'm hoping he retires and we can do WA this year without a return deadline. Sharyn
Thanks so much for watching. John was so sure that he had the maths wrong on the economy for the van towing but numbers don't lie. I think the numbers have reinforced our thoughts that this van is the right size for us while we are towing with the Prado. Have a lovely New Years, Sharyn
Welcome. Thanks for the feedback. We really had a fantastic time and I think it showed as we reminisced. Watching the video with family last night we realised that I left out places like Agnes Waters, the night was camped on a working sugar farm during their harvest and even the "Funny Dunny" campsite. I try to release a video each Friday but only if its interesting (no use releasing vids just for the sake of it). This Fridays will be all the campsites, and km's travelled each day in the order of the trip. That will be the last Cape York trip videos because I'm back travelling next week. Hope you have a good week and great 2025. Cheers Sharyn

Good luck!!!! My hubby being act gov employee he just can't bring himself to do it. But we need a farm sitter as well before we can go.
@@moniquedoherty8831 wow, and I thought it was tricky finding a dog sitter!
enjoyed watching your travels - just over 12 l per 100km is great economy for van towing
