  • This Quit Drinking Alcohol hypnosis and guided meditation takes you on a journey to look at your habits, looks at all the mental, emotional, and habitual reasons you drink, and breaks down the reasons one by one. This session gives you space and time in private to reflect, not only on the impact on yourself but also on the effect of your habit on others, to help you make positive change without shame, guilt, or judgment.

    Hi, I have been an alcoholic for about 5-6 years now. I'm turning 31 next month. I have drinken atleast 6 beers a day for the past 3 years. I woke up this morning and decided enough is enough. I am afraid to go cold turkey but tonight I will only have 2. I have set up a visit at the clinic for tomorrow, I even called out of work. I'm interested in naltrexone. And finding a community to talk to. Figured I may as well post on here to help strengthen my resolve. I believe I can do it and so can everyone else!! 😊❤

      Keep it simple.
      Just do this hypnosis, find an AA meeting near you ( a fellowship helps )talk to your doctor .
      Stop drinking if you can, not just cut down .
      I hope you are doing well.

    I listened to this couple of times but fell asleep each time and still wanted a drink next evening. I've sat and listened all the way through and raised feelings of great shame. Not sure how hypnotized I felt, but this is day 1. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Will keep you updated

    • @unlockyourlife
      @unlockyourlife  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      My advice is to not focus on how hypnotized you feel as it is not always necessary to "feel" you are hypnotized. I was able to break my chocolate addiction after pretty much a lifetime of compulsions in just 2 short sessions, standing up, only briefly closing my eyes and finding the imagery and related uncomfortable sensations that would turn me off chocolate for good. While depth of hypnosis can be an indicator, just as important is the actual content of the hypnosis session itself i.e. does it resonate and connect in the brain of the listener to become effective changes in brain neural pathways in the brain, shifting links from desire to disinterest or even disgust (in my case for chocolate). Instead of how you feel during the session, simply notice how you feel afterwards: your drive or lack of desire for the dreaded drink. Hope that helps. Wishing you continued success, Sarah

    This is great I'd been binge drinking for 10 years and daily drinking for the last 5. I would consume a half gallon of wiskey or rum or vodka every 2-3 days. This video has helped through what was very rough detox.I listen to it a couple times a day within my first week and it helped with cravings although I must admit the first 48hours was pretty rough. I'm proud to say I've been clean now for 40 days . I still use this video several times a week as a reminder of the life I want .A life free of Alcohol! Thank you miss Sarah your work really dose make life suck a little less.

If there is any other resource you need, let me know as I may be able to point you to a session on this channel that may also help. Well done Vincent, you're doing great! Very best to you, Sarah

    The next day after listening was very emotional. I feel like I couldn’t drink now if I tried whereas before I couldn’t quit no matter how much I tried! Thank you so much! Years and years of binge drinking, I tried AA, books, audio books, inpatient rehab and psychoanalysis, thousands of dollars spent. This worked for me, I haven't drank or had a craving since I laid on the couch in a quiet house with earbuds on, I got up with a new energy and determination. You saved my life!

      Hi Roy, thank you so very much for letting me know. I am absolutely over the moon that this has helped where other modalities have not quite hit home. As I've mentioned to others, this Quit Drinking session and Quit Sugar were the scripts that were the toughest to write and each took months of research and numerous drafts to finalize. And totally worth it to have this impact. This has really made my Christmas to read your comment. Thanks to you for taking the time to let me know my work makes a difference and thank yourself too for your persistence in trying to find something that works. Warm regards to you and those around you, Sarah

    That was very intense! I had to stop halfway through. I was experiencing memories of other people making me feel worthless from a young age and I got super emotional. Thank you for helping me realize that I use alcohol to numb my feeling of worthlessness, even though I know it's not true that I am worthless. A lot of people love me but loving myself has been a major challenge.

    • @unlockyourlife
      @unlockyourlife  7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thanks so much for your comment and I'm so glad this session gave insights. As you experienced, the mind always shows what needs attention. With anything unhelpful being released, I always recommend building up the positive in its place. The Affirmations for Self Belief and Self Worth in this playlist may be useful for you as it also talks about keeping the right people in your life and only the respectful ones. th-cam.com/play/PLqktjn8c06SxY36dRG322SkfaY5IvGnLe.html Also look out for a newsession to build Self-Love AND Self-Protection. That one is coming out on Feb 14th, as all healthy love starts with self-love. It is called Chakra Healing and Energizing for Self-Love and Self-Protection. Even if you don't believe in chakras, I really think it may be helpful for you. All the best to you, Sarah

      @jonathanmoore9661 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thank you! Will check those out. Something else I really enjoyed about this meditation was that it was easy for me to accept the positive affirmations while I was that relaxed. It felt like I was in a warm cozy blanket in my own body, a great feeling. The one that really hit hard for me was the part about how you are who you are without the alcohol and you don't need it to be witty, funny, relaxed, or anything else you normally associate with drunkenness, that it's already in my personality and alcohol is not needed to access it. Hearing that and accepting it/believing it has been super helpful.

    I have got to say that was like a visit from the three spirits in A Christmas Carol, it has really made me think about the stark choices I have in the future as well as the wasted opportunities in the past and how now is the time to make the change, every time I feel the urge to drink I will listen to this instead, until I train my mind not to want it anymore, thank you so much xx

    I listened to this once and haven't wanted to take a sip of wine since. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
    I was in the habit of having a glass or two a night. I didn't feel I was an alcoholic because I never drank to get drunk. But it was bothering me that I couldn't break the habit and my wine consumption seemed to be increasing little by little.
    On 15 December, I drank way too much and had a horrible hangover the next day. That's when I tried this hypnosis session.
    I don't know what you said that did the trick, but I've made it through every night, including Christmas and New Year without taking 1 sip of alcohol. And weirdly, the craving has disappeared altogether.
    I am loving the feeling of going to bed every night with a clear head and waking up in the morning with a clear head.
    I have big plans this year in my business and I feel not drinking is going to give me the edge I need to achieve beyond my wildest dreams. Let's go!
    Deeply grateful for you and for this session. 🙏

    This has been overwhelmingly effective for me. I listen at least once a day for the last 3 weeks and have not drank anything since and have minimal cravings after one week. Sometimes I fall asleep listening but I think this is OK. Who is the narrator? Very effective.

      Thank you Peter, it's great feedback to know how well this is working for you. Even asleep, yes, the messages will go in to your subconscious. I'm Sarah, a clinical hypnotherapist, both the script writer and narrator. There's a bio on the TYS website about how my own journey that led me to hypnotherapy and I'll do an intro vid in the coming weeks. Thanks for letting me know that this works for you; this was a challenging script and I wanted to appeal to many different levels and use many different techniques so this lets me know the time and research invested is doing its job. Thank you.

    Hey thanks for this. I'm not a daily drinker but I've fallen into the trap of drinking to deal with stress or to escape bad feelings, and I totally agree with many of the statements in the meditation of how that illusory escape or relaxation just magnifies whatever was wrong in the long term...ironically making life more stressful and creating situations that otherwise wouldn't exist (that could be filled with more positive creations or experiences). I love hypnosis meditations and hope this is effective for me if I keep using it. Even after using it once I felt much more positive and happy, and really want to give my body the sleep or meditation it actually needs when stressed. I think trying to replace wine with things like kombucha, juices, and teas might help, as I already love water and giggled at the water mantras (strangely though, the glass of water I drank after the meditation was exceptionally delicious). I am hoping this meditation really works for someone like me who needs to deal with stress and emotional repression in healthier ways.

      Thank you for sharing how this affected you and what resonates for you. Repeated listening will help as well, as the mind benefits from repeated messaging (just the same way repeated reading or learning helps commit facts to memory, but once these are habit, there's no reminder needed). I hope these do help and feel free to let me know of any updates again, as to how you're doing in a few weeks or months. Best wishes to you, Sarah

    I am listening to this for 21 days I would say i was a binge drinker and never knew when to stop. I would say 80% of the time I was an horrible drunk and 20% nice. After doing some shadow work with being spiritual I realised and saw it was all linked to my drinking. And vowed not too no longer social drink. I havent had a drink for 4 weeks and now I am using this hypnotherapy to prepare me for when lockdown is lifted and I am back out their socialing. I know its working as I walked down the booze isle I purchased non alcoholic wine and they was no temptation to grab anything alcoholic. So thank you unlock your life for this wonderful hypnotherapy. 😊

    These tools are a great resource/tool while on the journey or considering it, yet, being sober is a daily choice. One must be plugged in to AA, Celebrate Recov, and/or some other support group. Getting sober and staying sober happens when one is in fellowship with others that understand.

      Each person is different but as a safe standard, 21 days is generally what is needed to break old habits and build new ones. As this particular recording has a few different messages, you may find you want to come back and listen for a few days over time. You may accept some of the messages first, and adjust your life, and then only be ready for the rest of the messaging. Or it may all happen at once. A long answer, but if in doubt, listen for 21 days at first. All the best in your positive changes.
