Thanks for sharing your gift/talent with the world. Now we need more of this. You are a breathe of fresh air to the Reason community in this genre of music, IMHO.
Dude your tutorials are very enlightening for the most . Initially I was reserved on the reasons DAW but your impute has made me revisit the prospects . Please continue to share .
Listen. People get to cocky about music hard-/software, and imagine that you have to spend a lot of money and resources to make good music. Truth is, yes, you CAN make more quality music with a lot of expensibe hard-/software and OF COURSE real instruments, BUT: you can make SUPER MUSIC with just a little DAW and YOUR IMAGINATION, and sometimes more work, that is true (expensive DAW can make your life easier and can help you acheive faster results, true, but not always). There are people who made albums with just an instrument and their voice, and mixed it professionally by an engineer. Or people who made music with a simple, old DAW. Don't get crancky about all that hype out there. Just create music, with what you have and can afford now. Reason and also Reason Essentials is a GOOD way to make music. Just use your imagination... P.S. Mr. Williams, I think you applied -12 to both string layers at 4:01. But the idea is great. Thanks.
Excellent work man! Glad you are holding it down for us Reason users. I can never find any solid Reason vids so thanks for putting this together! Keep doing your thing!
Glad to see my fellow producers share knowledge!! Im tired of hearing ppl cry about what reason is NOT and not focusing on how focused it keeps us on making the dam music!! great vid bro!!
Great job on the video! I picked up on something I never practiced before when using the transpose. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and methods on your production process! I wish you the best of luck and success!
I recently got into this whole thing,I haven't yet got all the equipment i need, but the nost important thing that i miss is knowledge i do mess around with Reason lite and i see that i have the options and the tools to make a decent beat but lack of knowledge is my limit atm. Time is always more valuable than money and so it happens here, the more knowledge you have on a software,on music theory and any other relevant thing for music producing is super valuable. In Greece rap is on its peak,Boom Bap in specific. Some of the most well known beatmakers started their first hits with a mpk akai midi control a decent software(logic, Reason, FL studio) a decent pc and maybe a sampler like akai studio or some extra pads.Better equipment expands the limits of your talent,if your talent has already expanded limits lack of equipment shouldn't be an issue.
Wow all your videos are amazing you're super talented man. I love your song called treasure on your sound cloud, could you make a video going through how you made that beat.
very cool and not something that can be put in a particular "box"... very nice minimalist approach with non-minimalist results. looking at reason8 myself, and you just helped me decide. much thanks. be blessed and spread it around.
Brilliant inspiring tutorial n a bangin tune m8! Ive just got fl studio 12 but this look's more appealing ive got the hang of fl but this look's like an easier workflow so yeah thank's 4 the vid m8
create in reason, master with t-racks CS. has made me some nice coin over the years. went from 6 to 9 this year with over $1000usd of extensions. oh my.................... its not even as much as a moog would run me. we live in spoiled times. nice vids.
You're an awesome producer! Please tell me that bass isnt a part of reason! I use ableton live 9 but Im having trouble making sub bass and low end. Please help
So sick! You make it look effortless, especially on the keyboard. Can I ask you something? I find that the built-in strings are a little whack. Do you use rack extensions? If yes could you point me in the right direction? Thanks!
yo man where can i find that choir instrument been looking all over for that sound but only came across it in a VST called omnisphere 2.0 and as we both know reason doesn't support vst plugins so if you got a link for that sound that sound I'd appreciate alot man ... blessing from jamaica
