Im so happy for you and all you've achieved. My daughter is starting Brooklyn Latin in 2wks. She wants to be an international Art Lawyer and go to Yale or Harvard for Classics. My daughter's stats: She has applied for the Museum Apprentice Program at Brooklyn Museum, will be applying for the MET hs program when she gets turns 15, she became a NYC library book buddy and plans to run up 400hrs of community services doing that... and she also a Rower.
Ahh congrats on Brooklyn Latin!! As long as she ties in her application to how those extracurriculars helped her and benefited others and keeps up her grades (which ik she will), her application should be great! I'll be posting freshman, sophomore and junior survival guides soon, just in case she wants some advice!
This is so helpful, thank you for all the tips! I’m a rising senior trying to navigate the whole college process, would you mind looking at my personal statement?
Hi! I'm a rising junior at brooklyn tech and feel like I need to boost my application with more extracurriculars. Do you know of any internships or opportunities in the fall that you or your classmates participated in that I can apply for?
I personally advise against it. Most of the time, if you are not applying to the school that is offering the program, it doesn't help. They also can be extremely costly and time-consuming. Spend your summers doing community service or working on a passion project.

Do you recommend attending any summer or winter programs? Does that help our applications?😚
I personally advise against it. Most of the time, if you are not applying to the school that is offering the program, it doesn't help. They also can be extremely costly and time-consuming. Spend your summers doing community service or working on a passion project.
