I'll probably get a lot of hate for this but these lyrics are up for interpretation but how I interpret them.... it sounds like a song about Christ not giving up on you no matter what. Even the non believers.
When I first discovered this song, it was a great motivation song for confidence, like @Big Boss said, "my jame for those who underestimate me and I prove them wrong." It's great for working out, too. But, what really blew my mind was imagining the lyrics coming from and actual demon on your shoulder (in your head). Haha, this song is bad ass.
I kinda stopped watching MTV when the videos started to disappear in the mid to late 90's. I knew this song had a video but I didn't know it made it on MTV.
This GROOVE!! Apart from the beautiful ballads, this album has such a GROOVE all the way through. Something I wish Sevendust had kept but they somehow decided to let go of. Also love the arabic tinge (or mixolydian with flattened second) throughout the album. Then finally underneath the power, grit and aggression there's a spirituality....hidden but I feel it's there, or at least want it to be. Intelligent band. :).
