Karma adds a fair bit of strategy to the game, it's a great mechanic :) Another great thing about the system is that if you have questions DM Scotty has really been on top of the Q&As in his discord. Awesome community too!
Thank you for all the clear explanations and the whole concept and design of this game. It fascinates me in terms of how elegant - easy, yet efficient - it sounds. Definitely going to try it at my table
Fun vid, Scotty🤘 pointing out the seer issue and change was a nice bonus 👍 Really loving the book. The vids make it easier to sell the players on trying it out as well. The dice look awesome! Would get some, if not for the insane shipping fees and customs here likely adding an additional high cost. Keep up the awesomeness 🤘
Hi DM Scotty, I appreciate that Karma cant be used for Magick/Miracles however is karma earned for failed magick/miracle rolls? As these are "actions". We assumed that all action rolls that are failed earn a karma. Thanks in advance.
Question: Since there is no level system is EZD6, how do you do character progression? I know with my group, everyone gets excited about how many experience points they'll get at the end of a secession and if they will level up or not.
About 10 for player works. Enemies have no karma or hero dice. I just mark strikes for enemies the hearts are for players. (but you could track enemy strikes with heart tokens)
I have a question it may have been answered somewhere else. I was wondering about attacking without weapons if you had a system in place or if I missed something in the book I know this is off topic but the rule I use is the players have to roll a 6 to cause a strike if using fists feet headbutt etc. I was just curious I Love the vids and the game.
You can do that. You can also have unarmed strikes inflicted be KO strikes and if a target takes its last strike from KO damage they are knocked out instead of killed. Of course a KOed enemy could be killed if the attacker wants and there is no one to protect them.
I bought this and I'm looking real hard at using it for my next campaign after the one I'm playing. I like that it is so accessible. And character creation seems like a blast and has tons of variety. I've got one possible issue though. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of an advancement system for characters. So how viable is this system for a long-term campaign?
I have played it for campaigns, and it works fine for my groups. Check out some newer RPG vids where people discuss problems with leveling up (this idea is getting traction). I like my character changes to be story-based, not arbitrary rules-based.
@@theDMsCraft good point. I've heard Matt Colville and Professor DM speak about alternative advancement and the issues with leveling, but I guess its hard to break away from the leveling and stuff for me being such a heavy console jrpg player. Though I do like to reward characters with extra things that aren't part of the rules so I guess that kind of counts. I'll check out who else has something to say about the subject.
@@theDMsCraft Thank you for the fast reply. I know you may disagree, but I adapted your idea about the player choosing how many dice they want to use to cast a spell to ALL mechicis including combat to replicate RL combat like will I use a complicated feint to attack (3 dice) vs no just go for the simple attack (1 dice) and other player actions like picking locks. This solves a problem I have had for years about the player tactics vs the characters abilities. Like how in space ship combat a player will divert or balance ship power to either defence or offence.
Dude, through the years I have shared your vids and found you amazing, But your vids are really are no longer about making cool stuff for my game; they are now about game systems and other things. I am un-subbing now. I will return to watch your tutorials, but this new direction of game system promotion isn't my deal. Honestly man; I wish you all the best. I found you by looking for craft teachers, not game system promoters etc. No joke sir, you have taught me so much and brought amazing encounters to my games for cheap; my players have gasped at the creations you have taught me to build. Scotty, I wish you all the best, but goodbye. Best of luck i your new direction.
Understood, people change and evolve, and nothing stays the same. At this point in my gaming life, I wanted to share my system, and many have embraced it and want more detail from the horse's mouth, so to speak. I have been releasing shorts detailing a campaign I am running on an alternate world but also talking about the terrain I made and used. Check out those vids if you want to see some of my latest terrain.

Few have your enjoyment (even giddiness) of the hobby - it’s infectious, and appreciated! 👍🏻
I love playing and sharing! A huge joy in my life.
Realized I had watched all these videos while not logged in so had to log in and go like them all.... and subscribed, got to try this game.
Thank you so much =) ... Have fun!

Love these videos Scotty! Just working on my upcoming EZD6 Star Wars adventure for Life Day. This system is great for one-shots!
Super cool! it sure is!
Once again Scotty makes a great video! Also purchased some goo dice :)
Thanks =)

I use small similar plastic crystals , blue for karma, red for health, then I use fantasy coins for hero
Perfect
Had to watch it twice, but l got it , great mechanic thanks.
i like the karma mechanic.
So fun in game!

Yes, all failed rolls generate a karma. Just remember, Heroes can only gain 1 karma per round no matter how many rolls failed.

I do have ways listed in the book to grow characters without levels. It is just a different mindset.
Just ordered 👍
Thanks much, enjoy!
How many karma tokens do you bring per player? :) 10?
Do you use karma, hearts or hero dice for enemies sometimes? Thx!

@@Grayald I do have suggestions in the RR section.
Hello scoty can you put together some cheats cheats and artwork for us so we can make our own gm screens
Thanks
Good idea
Can you give Karma away to other players?
No, unless you have the leadership inclination.

@@JC-ew5ss Interesting hack.
I command you to cease all talk of rpg rules and focus solely on the craft once again. do it.
