  • In this video, I go over how you so go about structuring your team differently depending whether you are applying for a Phase I or a Phase II SBIR. Reviewers will be evaluating the background and experience of you and your team so this is a huge component of your application that will impact your score. Check out the long version of this short on you TH-cam channel where I break down 4 different ways to structure your team for SBIR applications.
KeepYourEquity.co’s mission is to support scientists, engineers, and clinicians in their start-up journeys by helping Founders secure SBIR/STTR grants. The goal of this TH-cam channel is to educate Founders on how to raise non-dilutive federal funding to get the resources they need to commercialize innovative ideas to solve today’s biggest global problems. To date, we’ve helped to raise over $10 M of SBIR/STTR funding across start-ups across medicine, engineering, environment, energy, military, and much more

Hey! Great video! Can you apply for a phase 1 with multiple agencies at the same time?

Thank you! Yes you can and it is highly encouraged to increase your changes to secure SBIR funding. However it is important to keep in mind you cannot get funding from 2 different agencies on the same proposal goals and efforts.

Is the budget timeline for SBIR Phase 1 limited to 6 months to 1 year and does PI need to PO approval if doing 1 year? How about for SBA approved waiver topics, can they request 2 years or still limited to 1 year? Thanks.
