January 1st 1955. Hearths used to have the date the home was built carved into them it's a very very old tradition dating back to middle ages castles as well. Cheers, great videos.
An American Kitchen unit!! I had one up until recently!!! Very early 1950s they were THE thing for modern homes!!! Nice place!! Thank you for posting!!!
Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, I truly enjoyed this. Now, years later I want to revisit the abandoned farmsteads with camera in hand. Thank you for each of your videos.
Great explore ,,, around the 14:50 mark, you were looking at a cabinet, that actually looks like it may have been a homemade stereo at one time, by the look of the control knobs in the top shelf , looks like it was a nice family home at one time
I enjoy abandoned house videos. Some are slightly creepy, some make me sad because of personal items left behind...photos, a child's drawing, etc...but just one time I would love to see a small animal zoom out when a closet door gets opened.
We see a lot of abandoned properties her in Arkansas , or at least we did. It was not unusual for families to have 40 / 80 or a few more acres for farm land . They could make a decent living years ago .Bigger famers bought out many of the small farms mainly for the property. I lived in one at one time , no rent payment , just upkeep because the new owners did not have the heart to tear down the old home because it was such a beautiful property. Thanks for the video !
I like your videos just the way you have been doing them. You are my favourite explorer to watch! I love that you take the time to show even the most minute items and gives us the viewer the chance to take it all in. You try to get the back ground story and dates and are respectful, regardless of the conditions of the explore. All other explore videos I watch don't usually compare to yours :) Keep up the great videos and I will be here watching:)
Hunter, I don't think anyone should criticize you for anything. You do a great job ! Complaining about clicking your flashlight or how you're talking, is just nit-picking. Geez ! The only thing that can get to me is when ppl move the camera too fast... makes me ill. Lol ! I love your voice as you describe things to us. I like the longer videos, you show us a lot of stuff and you're pretty knowledgeable on things from the past. ( think I told you that before 😊) You should always be aware of your safety first whether anyone likes it or not. This is for our entertainment, be grateful, ppl ... Keep up the good work, Hunter. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸 Love from Pennsylvania ❤
I enjoy your explorations! I love that you talk throughout and get into some depth. Had to subscribe! Would you do more at night time ones? I really like the "creepy" vibes but if not, I understand! Thank you 😊
Your vids are great, don't change anything. Like this house also, you found another one with pocket doors. Next time you find them, push the little button along the edge to pop out the handle you use to close them. Lookin forward to the next vid man.
like the video the tire on thee tree and stuff. I watch a lot of abandoned houses videos. my grandma died a year ago and she lived in a old house. looking at old houses reminds me of her. I use to spend the night at her house a lot.
I agree with someone 👇 I love that you listen to your viewers but when you take your time and go slow exploring we get to see every little detail you see..which is better! and for those people in one of the other videos complaining about you turning your flash light on and off..they can shut it..at least till they wana grow the balls to do what you do in these creepy awesomely abandoned houses! You do amazing explores! Period! 😊
+Pam Atlanta Thank u so much for enjoying my videos. My voice I believe plays a role in my videos, I have been getting a lot of good feedback about it. I like to know those things like that every bit helps the next video. Thank u so much! =)
I wish my home had as much cupboard space as this house ,this was a nice family home ,situated in a very nice area, now it looks as sad as that solitary tyre hanging from the tree.
I have noticed that a lot of the abandoned buildings in the southern US are within earshot of raging highway noise. Oh and I think that was an old chicken coop
House didn't look like it needed a ton of work to make it livable again. Good cleaning some paint and plumbing and you could have a pretty nice little house. Sometimes oil companies will let you live for free as long as you clean the place up and help watch people coming and going to the drilling sites. If it has well water I wouldn't recommend drink it. lol
I agree with swamp, details are why I'm here. I want the ins and outs of the story. But, if the story isn't available, second best is exploring and finding details. Dates on newspapers, names on birthday cards, etc.. It's not just about going in to see a old house and how worn out it is. You're doing a great job. The camera isn't shaky and you get the nooks and crannies, unlike some. Just try not to angle at the floor so much when you're looking at something. We wanna see too. 😊
nice video. but take as much time as you want find everything that makes you happy. these are your videos and we are happy you share them with us regardless of how long you take to get through the house / buildings.
I, too, have never seen closets that have two doors to access from different rooms. Different! Cool knife. Thanks. And feel free to turn flashlight on and off whenever you want. I can't even go into my OWN basement in the dark.
judging by the modern lightbulb over the med cabinet in the bathroom this place has not been empty all that long. which reenforces my arguement about the canned food being useable.
Enjoyed your video Hunter. I was thinking that at the part where you said 'you'd never seen so many closets' that that one area was not originally a closet. It looks like it was a small hallway back in the day, offering access to the bedroom on the other side, you can see the frame to the doorway in the middle of it. I loved seeing that linoleum that looked like a rug. We had a very similar design when I was a kid. They looked very nice when brand new. Also, I was surprised to see how much the rust had disintegrated the metal shelves to the point of the cans falling through, I wonder how long that took. Good video, thank you! ☺
How much land was attached to this property? Land can be worth a good amount depending on what it's going to be used for. My mom passed in 2010 and my brother and I inherited her share of the family farm in Iowa (there were 4 kids who inherited from my grandparents). My share was 30 acres of farm land that was being rented out for farming. I sold my portion so I could buy a better house in a nicer area for me and my son. Going rate at the time of the sale (2012) was 5k an acre. Given this was sold to an oil company I'm sure they made considerably more than that. When I was still at my old place the store that built right next to my house was interested in buying my house for their workers and added storage and they were going to pay off my mortgage, pay all my moving expenses and an additional 30k to move. So I imagine these companies offer a sweet deal that some families find hard to resist. Looks like these people had young kids so they probably thought they would upgrade their living situation the kids.
Nice one Hunter. Loved the opening shot with that old tyre swing. The place was amazing. Weird with all those tins of food. Perhaps they were expecting heavy snow or an apocalypse lol and they were just stocking up.
I love long explores. You really show detail. Keep up the great work! Keep your videos longer. They are better that way. If they were short, then you wouldn't see anything.
+Sheri Ward Thank u so much Sheri great to hear!!! Glad u stuck with my channel u were like just b4 i broke 100! THANK U AND THANK U ALL U HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAR UR FEEDBACK goes into helping me and my future videos!
that old wooden thing must of been an old hi fi system or tv, the wall paper looks like an old atari 2600 game graffics! well there a relic of the past! an old cell phone!
I agree your videos aren't to long no need to rush through a time capsle cuz that's what most if not all these abandoned homes are, as for animals pooing on steps they're marking territory.. I noticed you or nobody else had really mentioned the beautiful doors in this home your camera did a good job in catching the color n wood grain in them as well as the window facings, you don't see that in homes today unlike mine which was built in '29.. Nice Knife name brand of it n where'd you pick it up at.? If I may ask.? I collect n use knives n go nowhere without one since an accident I happened up on several yrs ago n me not having one at time a man perished.. Thanks again on vid think i'll subscribe n get notified on all your kool house vidz
Loved the explore! Don't want shorter ones. These should be as long as you need to be able to share it all with us all. We NEED all the details! Glad to see you carry a knife! Stay safe and how about some longer explores! LOL :)
Wow, Very impressed, Nice house. Nothing some cleaning, fixing & spray would not hurt.. Sad the land is worth more, for would be satisfied with jus the house..
I agree. The richness of the experience of looking around is diminished when people rush. Frantically moving the camera around is a flaw a lot of other explorers make.
swampmammytheone Agree! This is how I like my urban exploring. If I made a video it would be hours long because I'd be there all day going through the details.
Aren’t you a bit nervous doing this? Between vagrants, drug zombies, wild animals and angry owners with guns? Then talk about collapsing floors and roofs? You’re brave, I wouldn’t go alone!
Fracking is a really bad idea, these people only care about what they can earn out of it though. No snakes today? I thought you were a snake charmer ha ha 👍
why don+t they sell the house rather than let rot in the elements they could sell it cheap / it most likely make a nice home once it it fixed. Or than that give it to a homelss family and let them fix it up

That mantel with the date carved into it....wow!! Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.
I was thinking the same thing..
Just to have the mantle alone would be awesome..
Your vids are great, don't change anything. Like this house also, you found another one with pocket doors. Next time you find them, push the little button along the edge to pop out the handle you use to close them. Lookin forward to the next vid man.
The canned food looked pretty gross lol the basement was creepy anyways keep em coming!
like the video the tire on thee tree and stuff. I watch a lot of abandoned houses videos. my grandma died a year ago and she lived in a old house. looking at old houses reminds me of her. I use to spend the night at her house a lot.

+Stacie Izatt Thank u feedback is very important I wanted to show people explores how I think they should be done!!!
Love the land! Great video! :)
The wall in the Living Room is Tongue and Groove Wood. It is not Paneling. My grandmother had this in her house. Expensive today.
+Pam Atlanta Thank u so much for enjoying my videos. My voice I believe plays a role in my videos, I have been getting a lot of good feedback about it. I like to know those things like that every bit helps the next video. Thank u so much! =)
I like your running commentary; "Stinks in here....drawer full of Mouse poop..I'm debris surfing".....
Total agree if they want shorter videos they can go some where else loved it !!
I wish my home had as much cupboard space as this house ,this was a nice family home ,situated in a very nice area, now it looks as sad as that solitary tyre hanging from the tree.

I’ve never seen a basement with a fireplace
judging by the modern lightbulb over the med cabinet in the bathroom this place has not been empty all that long. which reenforces my arguement about the canned food being useable.

I wouldn't open it much less eat it.. Yuck.. Lol.
Who cares what people say you should do in your videos lol I like they way you do them.its the way you are.

+Exploring with Hunter you are so welcome. I am here and staying. As I said, I love your explores. You're never getting rid of me lol.
that old wooden thing must of been an old hi fi system or tv, the wall paper looks like an old atari 2600 game graffics! well there a relic of the past! an old cell phone!
The room where the closet is and also opens into the Kitchen. Is that an old stero system that someone gutted it?

Don't make shorter video's if they want short ones they can make their own videos or get some ADHD meds...Love all the details you show in the videos
Ikr
I agree. The richness of the experience of looking around is diminished when people rush. Frantically moving the camera around is a flaw a lot of other explorers make.
And they can go find a lot of videos that have been cut to pieces if they want shorter
swampmammytheone Agree! This is how I like my urban exploring. If I made a video it would be hours long because I'd be there all day going through the details.
Just Here 👍

Wood used in this house seems like 50s / 60s style to me.
no,,not shorter vid. we love you for a reason,,,
Someone robbed out the guts of the HiFi I noticed right away.
Likely took the fridge & stove.
Fracking destroys clean ground water.

Keep that comment in your pocket for the ladies and you'll be fine.:)
People who live off grid should come in and help carry some of this house away before the city comes in to demolish it.
WIERD HOW THE TOILET WAS FACING THE TUB . THE FLASHLIGHT HELPS SEE THINGS. MAKE LONG VIDEOS OR AS YOU WISH.
Awesome explore. Thanks.
amen to swampmammythe one. I love the pace. Why bother if you don't take the time to let us see details. Keep up good job; be safe though!!!
I personally like longer slower videos
+Valarie Stewart Thank u for ur input. How else would I know? =)
Aren’t you a bit nervous doing this? Between vagrants, drug zombies, wild animals and angry owners with guns? Then talk about collapsing floors and roofs? You’re brave, I wouldn’t go alone!
Is the house still there
I think some of those can goods have been their a lot longer than 2006
Did you grab the cell phone? Any pics on it?
Shadow box is nice - grab that too lol!
Absolutely love your work - if your ever up around Akron/Kent would like to do a collaboration 🌴
+Thomas Adams I can do that!!! Message me and we'll get it going!!!
you have to hit up hamms brewery st Paul mn, warning, don't get lost, this place is huge, and there is only certain ways to get in and out now!
THAT IS ONE BIG RUG
I will probably have to use a shear point key to get in this year!
Fracking is a really bad idea, these people only care about what they can earn out of it though. No snakes today? I thought you were a snake charmer ha ha 👍
why don+t they sell the house rather than let rot in the elements they could sell it cheap / it most likely make a nice home once it it fixed. Or than that give it to a homelss family and let them fix it up
Mr. Hunter Sir! Hope its ok but I went ahead and hit the like button without seeing the entire video because well, I trust you. With that said a very rude demon at 4:55 ran right in front of you without saying excuse me. It was that big tan tinged transparent tumbleweed thingy that goes by quickly @4:55.
Poor dog it sad place to be
8:54
Abandoned baby's hat.😞
i disagree about the canned food . you would have make that call each time you open a can. aside from what some of this know-it-all younger generation thinks can food can keep inside the sealed can long after the outside is covered in surface rust. you know it alls will starve and perfectly good food all around you.
oldtimerocker52, I think that's just a lil to damn old lol
oldtimerocker52, however the ones upstairs look good
Are these abandoned places local in your area? Or do you travel far/go out of state?
Always tell us viewers what town and state u are in!!!
Don't want to touch canned food but will pick up dead bugs?

ExploringAndMe Meh... cicadas are ugly but harmless.
The Japanese beetles bite😣
I like when you use the flashlight helps us both see. I just cant understand how you don't see the heavy smoke or mist not sure what to call it like when its cold and you can see your breath. Some spirits use that form to travel- That's what the Bible says. Anyways something isn't happy your there at 5:20 , 5:30 & 5:31 its really heavy- check out @5:30 its in your face dude, so crazy. Do you ever feel weird vibes?

Really , yes I live in Florida , sun , fun , immediate dehydration - it was 110.degrees today and that was in my refrigerator! Thanks Hunter
where is it at
Please get a proper panel light for your recording like Dan Bell's
+HappyQuailsFarm I appreciate the tip. I use a 3 axis stabilizer which holds my camera. The light would make it to heavy for the stabilizer.
You don’t want to pick up a van because it’s gross but, you’ll
Play around with a dead bug 🤷🏼♀️
What state u in?
