I was there : what a glorious Performance !! Stage Director was Beppe De TOMASI - CABALLÉ was at her Top , at her best and CARRERAS too !! In my opinion this TOSCA was the best of MONTSERRAT and of JOSÉ too !! We are lucky they made a TV BROADCAST of !!!

Yes, I was trying to return to those years. Though we know they concertized with duet, I am assuming to my memory that this may have been their last one or was in last of their 'full grand scale opera duet.' We know their is a difference between concert and full opera performances. Best to you.
Carreras en esa época tenía un timbre bellísimo. Es una pena q su voz en plenitud durará tan poco. Antes de la enfermedad ya perdió brillo su voz. Creo q por cantar repertorio inadecuado para su voz.

Así es un timbre precioso y bonito fraseo....no tuvo ni diez años la voz fresca y bella...aquí tenía 33 años...nació en 1946.
