Not just a home console, you could put the game in any cd player and it would play the soundtrack. Ridge racer on to a shockproof discman with aux to cassette input to the cassette radio in the car and the sony x-plods 😂😂
Of course it was. They we're one of the most populair Rave groups out there. And the fact that Breakbeat/Rave/Happy Hardcore was booming everywhere in the early and mis 90's. This was a good choice as a soundtrack, fast racing action!
It feels like I'm moving just listing to this. First Playstation game I played. This reminds me of driving on highway just after sunset for some reason. If you like this check out need for speed high stakes 4 ost from 1999 it's different but still good but half of the songs blow others good.
Why is this soundtrack trillions of times better than I remember it being back when I first heard it when I was 11-12 years old?? My TV's speakers did not give this game's soundtrack justice! And hell, this game is almost 30!
Someone SERIOUSLY NEEDS to create a time machine! That way The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon can go back to 1993 and play this alongside my kid self!👍
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES! If there was a working time machine, he would go back to 1993 and play this alongside his 3 year old self!
Damn, this entire soundtrack is just so full of upbeat feel good music. It's infectious, impossible to not like.
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES! It's filled with SO MUCH POSITIVITY!🥰👍
Can you imagine you could experience this in the mid 90's on a home console? I salut you Namco for bringing us this extraordinaire experience.
I was there man. It was magical
@@buhshmuh 😎 Me too
@@buhshmuh me too :) I remember thinking the mountains looked so real :D not to mention the Prodigy-alike music like this track.

Game: Ridge Racer
Music: Feeling Over
Composer: Ayako Saso
Publisher: Namco
Year: 1993
THIS HAD NO BUSINESS TO SLAP THIS HARD
By far, my favorite track of them all. Nostalgia.
Really nice tunes lol .
I feel myself seated playing this game in 1995 or 1996. Very nostalgic
I still remember being home sick from school and playing this game all day
Sounds like a great time
Amazing how quickly you got back to full health playing games all day🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The 90s was awesome
These sounds could make a grown man cry. I played this game and part 2 so much. This soundtrack is immaculate.
This was obviously inspired by The Prodigy's Experience, they even used some samples from that album's songs

Dat...dickety dat!
the are you ready sample, then this hoover lead and also some stab i think? edit: also that drop the beat sample)
It's also a sample from the song "Let yourself Go " by 80's / 90's singer Sybil
@Benjamin Owuye Jagun You're not the only one. RIP Keef.

NFS3 had a good soundtrack too, remember listening to Romulus 3, Aquila 303 and Monster a lot.
This with headphones on sounds absolutely fantastic. I bet they had some good fun making this track.
Damn what were 90's video game music producers on. Shits good. Good tempos change ups flows boom
acid n blow champ
This is so The Prodigy based, love it!
I don’t think people realize how incredible this is.

Should have put the disk in your cd pkayer!
This track is badass!! How much I enjoyed Ridge Racer back in those days when it came out. OMG it was like an arcade at home!
" Yeahhhhhh , it’s a neeeeeewwwww recoooooooooord 🎉" 😍😍😍😍

I saw this games getting an Arcade1up cabnet and this song was the first thing that popped in my head!😅

awesome song!!!

WipeOut changed everything but without RR WO ost hadn't been here
Wipeout was epic, suprised it never got a more recent revival soundtrack too
TRIPPA TRIPPA!
This track could literally be on the track list of Prodigy’s The Experience and you wouldn’t even notice it’s not them
It took me two decades to realize that the Ps1 had one HELL of a weird selection of soundtracks.
But in a good way, especially EDM/IDM and ambience.
That was before the big company's took over and ruined the quality (game play as well) that happened alot but early 2000s games are good as well.
Front to back banger!

Nancy new who to have great music for their games , tekken , ridge racer
2:35 Does anyone else feel like the sample here was used in Sonic Rush’s boss theme?
Yeah, one day in 97 we all would pull out weekly pay and every Thursday would buy a new game for 25 to 59 dollars, ridge racer and hamburgers.
