    Thanks for sharing some of your process. I've been trying to loosen up and get into abstracting the landscape and it's great to see how you accomplish your finished art by going about it in graduations. ☺☺☺

    Thank you so much for this demonstration, Allison! I still feel that hesitancy (fear) you're talking about. There's fear, and excitement too! I'm feeling encouraged and supported in the process of exploring my current biggest painting question! 👏😍🔥

    Excellent video. Thank you !!! THIS is my biggest hurdle. I love making "decorated" backgrounds using dozens of mark making and wax paper transfer and texture plate printing and so many other mixed media techniques with all of my art supplies :-) I've been doing that for a couple of years now. But..... I love them just as decorated papers and yet.... I know that they are not finished paintings. But..... I love them so much with all of the pretty colors and textures and patterns, that I can't bear to cover any of it over. I know that I need to. I struggle terribly with what to do to turn my decorated papers into finished paintings. I would love to see what you do with that last painting to take it to completion. But I don't "do" Facebook, so I hope that you will share the process of finishing that painting here on TH-cam. Thank you !!!

      It is so hard to lose the parts of our paintings that we love! Watch for a new video time-lapse of me finishing the last painting.

    You’re so thoughtful. Will you consider private mentorship or consultation. I am very in sync with your inner psyche. I am very new to painting and often stuck in this spot. How to finish and let go. 🤔

      Hi Susan. Yes, finishing and letting go are often the hardest parts! I am away for most of the summer. If you'd like to get in touch (via my website is best) in September, we could talk about private mentorship.

    Do you dry your drawing gum with cool on the dryer? My experience with frisket is that you can’t use heat on it.

      I use a wonderful drawing gum-Pebeo brand, which will endure some blow drying.

    Hi. How these blue sunflowers are done first ? Is there step 1 video too

    • @alisonwatt8570
      @alisonwatt8570  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Manisha--I don't have a step 1 video for this--the way I made the first drawing: apply heavy body paint to wax paper, draw the sunflowers into it (I use the end of the brush). When this is pressed on the paper a negative line drawing is transferred. By drawing into the back of the wax paper you can transfer a positive line. I use this transfer technique in my Abstracting Landscape Video
