    God the UK sucks. Never missed a payment on anything, have a large salary in comparison to UK averages, and after 14m still can’t even get a cell contract much less a credit builder card. The cell companies won’t even take payment in full for the entire contract up front, at which point there’s literally no lending of credit! Glad I have a lot of US credit with no foreign transaction fees.
    Also worth noting that UK credit cards are trash compared to the US. >$100/year for a credit builder card, and interest rates are 2-3 times what they are in the states, and meaningful rewards are unheard of.

    Hey! Which credit card company did you use? I am trying to find one that is expat friendly.

      I signed up with Experian and they recommended a Aqua credit card.

    Been to Uk many times in past, family. Boy have things changed lol.
    My question ; you have been there bout 7 yrs. You keep doing the visa, can you not apply for permanent residency/citizenship? Thats if you wanted too?
