Those backings will match so well with your quilts 😊 Love the rainbow colours 😍 I make rag wreaths with any quarter fabrics I pick up 😊 Those storage tubs look great for storing all your fabric and projects 😊 You have loads to keep you busy!!
Wow that's a lovely lot of quilting going on there 😊 I think it is wise to have more than one hobby, specially when one of them is also your business 🥰👍🏻💚
My mom suggests a "flange" (piped strip) of black and use the backing as the binding and the backing. On the triangle quilt. ( she has been doing this for 40 years). If you want to keep the cream as binding keep it thin..... She says the green on the first on for the baking is good and fun. But do what makes you smile! Have fun with thread colors.....
When I went to the NEC for the diamond art stuff, I had carried quite a lot of bits and bobs on the train too and I felt like a right nelly. I didn’t realise they can post the stuff out to you. I know for next time! Glad you enjoyed your time at the festival of quilts. I will check to see if my aunties want to go and have a nosey with me, we all like our crafting hobbies ect
❤❤ Love all the little details and colours in your fabrics. Not a quilter or any type of sewing actually, but I do like your fabrics. Have a happy time “playing” with all your goodies. Love and hugs from Sweden.
Your quilting haul made me so excited even though I wasn't the one that bought it 😆. The All New England Shop Hop starts on September 1st here in New England (I'm in Vermont). It's 2 months of shop hopping! I hope I can find as many amazing things as you did...not that I need anything! Unfortunately our big Quilt Festival ended during the Covid and won't be returning. 😔
If you’re ever in Cornwall there’s a amazing quilting shop in Redruth called the sewing studio. They do all the popular ranges and they even have a TH-cam channel
That was absolutely fascinating. I was going to do some quilting years ago and bought fat quilt pieces. I think the project I had in mind must have been far too ambitious so I never started. I have the fats still and know exactly where they are. Maybe I should make some smaller quilts first🤪. The scene seems to have changed a lot and the accessories are interesting. Would you be able to list the websites and TH-cam addresses that you go to please. You’ve given me the itch to try again, I have felt guilty about that beautiful fabrics lying unused so thank you Rebecca In anticipation of using them and making something beautiful. And a big thank you for the video❤️
Hi Christine, I'm still figuring out websites etc to use and have only used those to get backing fabrics from the same companies I got the quilt kits from. For TH-cam, I love Get it Done Quilts - she's so good.
When you were reading the manufacturer’s info on the yellow backing fabric, there was a diamond on the side, too! A sign that you were supposed to get that particular fabric. 😂😂 Of course, it might be a ruby but I’m saying it is a diamond. 💎
I have watched youtubers buy Queen/King sized sheets in a certain colour for backing a quilt. It would be much cheaper than buying by the yard. Just a thought! And I will blame you for re-surfacing my craft of quilting. I found my UFO projects and will attempt to finish them and show you. BEWARE Rebecca, you are acquiring stashes of fabric..........
That bundle that didnt have a pattern would look good in the pattern you did the first top in

Hmm I can see a quilting with AMZ in the future. I’m not a quilter but I found it fascinating and would definitely watch that one
Gorgeous fabrics! Happy quilting in the upcoming weeks!

It’s worth an ask, the fabric die was a heavy item.

Great! We do occasionally go to Cornwall, so I’ll check it out.

Oh wow! I can use that as a reason to get many Fabrics. 🤣
❤
Love watching your haul maybe see if the range has some fabrics? X
they have a few fat quarters, but not big amounts.
💙💎
🐶
Will you be makng the pillow cases to match them as well x
Not as likely as I'm doing lap quilts, so more on the couch than on the beds.
