    I've got a big adventure bike and had all the sports bikes over the years. Got a vespa 300 last year just because I fancied one and it has been brilliant. I,ve been all over the place on it. Brighton, Wales, London. I love it. I changed out the suspension for top kit which made a difference. Fuel is nothing at all. Get one, you won't be disappointed

    I am currently touring with my 2022 GTS 300 HPE.
    We left on the second week of October and we are now in Cyprus.
    It is much more than a city or a commuter machine and over the mountains of Bosnia and Albania in torrential rain it was brilliant.
    I can't fault it and my wife has been comfortable on the back and reasonable carrying capacity with a front and rear rack and a rucksack between my legs at the front.
    The only downsides are the small fuel tank and the brakes lack feeling.

    • @Ontheroadtourism
      @Ontheroadtourism ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anselmcarr-jones1664 It will be a breeze and is totally suited for that type of riding.
      I have luggage racks back and front as well as the ability to carry a rucksack between my legs at the front.
      The acceleration, sure footed handling and the automatic gear make it a great bike.
      Strangely I found it easy to ride , but actually requires more skill to ride quickly than a larger bike.
      The only additions I would recommend is a small fly screen for the front(makes a big difference) and a little later on a Malossi Variator that really improves the acceleration.
      I bought mine without ever having ridden one and I am glad I did.

    A 300 Vespa? That is quite a cool scooter, like a retro jet ski for the road, with some great tech.

    I've ridden a 300 GTS Super and it was a rocket around town. Had legs too on the highway and plenty of storage. Currently own a smaller Vespa LXV150, Stella (Indian vespa PX) and Kawasaki Z900rs and most often than not, I'm taking the Vespa to work.

      Been tempted with one. Did you ever take it on the motorway or just b and a roads. Some of the journeys i need to do will require some motorway/dual carriageways. Currently on a cb500x but i find it pretty uncomfortable for long distance as i struggle to mount and dismount it so end up not taking many breaks.

    I've owned several Piaggio and Vespa bikes and have a vintage Rally in my garage. I've enjoyed all of them. That said, the bottom line. This may be a game my mind plays, but I find it challenging to justify the price when compared to other motorcycles. There's a premium price associated with the name. Edit: I sadly wasn't able to find the matte blue scooter on the website.

    This is essentially the same GTS that I owned several years ago but now costs two grand more. They rust from the inside out as the paint is far too thin. A decent all year round commuter though and great on fuel. I fitted a Scorpion exhaust as the original used a graphite gasket which perished quickly causing leaks. There's loads being ridden by members of the scooter scene in the UK so always a supply of good used ones available.

    Love the design of a Vespa but the top spec is getting close to a NC750x DCT which you could say fits a similar niche (twist and go, onboard storage) and yet it's a 750cc.

    • @AngelSapundzhiev
      @AngelSapundzhiev ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Dear Friend,
    I saw your review, very interesting.
    I would like to ask you a question.
    I have a Primavera 150 year 2017, and I am with the intention of changing it for a GTS 300.
    I was already decided to buy a green GTS300 Racing sixties, since I really like the design.(Not the rims color)
    But...I found out from the local dealer...
    That in my country, the new Vespa GTS300 (that were in the USA in 2022) arrive in next month (July).
    The new Vespa models will be approximately US$1000 more than the previous ones. (Both 0 km)
    So when I found out that the new model was coming, keyless, with a new front shock absorber, and some other aesthetic thing, I would like to ask you:
    Is there a really considerable difference to wait for it, or if I like the Racing sixties, isn't there a change so important as to pay those U$1000 of difference?
    What would be your suggestion?
    Does anyone else who has used both justify waiting and paying the difference?
    Excuse my English and thank you very much in advance

How is the power delivery - any changes? How is the keyless ignition? Is there any change in the lighting? How does the handle bar width effect handling at speed?

    What if the battery dies in the scooter mid ride? Or what if the key fob dies? What if you go two up do you add more air in the rear? Working with these things day to day… these should be the questions consumers should be asking because of the keyless ignition but nope! They buy it and get it totaled in a week 🤦‍♂️
