The barbers prices are insane now. They charge me $40/cut + $20/beard and $5 for washing my hair afterwards + tip. I always get a basic cut it's #4 on top with a mid fade. I used to cut my hair every 3 weeks and I have 2 sons one just started school. I got this same machine I also ordered the 3 way mirror, my cape and everything and with this tutorial I was able to do my cut. Bro I was surprised at how clean it looks and it was fast too I think I took like 40 minutes but I kept stopping to watch the video. Thanks bro I'll be saving thousands a year

That fade is nice, bro, great job! Very well explained and executed. It can definitely be done without them, but the half and one and a half guards are definitely easier. For anyone else starting out like me, get those guards or get a machine like the one I got off ebay that comes with them as well as being a cordless all metal clipper - it cost under 30 bucks. Then come and watch David's videos and learn to cut your own hair.
I still gotta get me a self cut system, as it's a PITA to hold a mirror in one hand and clipper in the other and look for the right angles. I also have to train my left hand more, as I'm right handed and subequently my right side fade looks a bit smoother than my left. I also have to learn how to compress the fade more, as I always start to give myself a low drop fade and it somehow turns into a high fade on its own, LOL.

Thanks for the video really I was on the fence or whether or not I should buy myself these clippers to learn how to cut my own hair with ....I do think the newer Wahl color pro clippers does come with a 0.5 guard if I'm not mistaken...
But I also wanna get myself trimmers also so which budget trimmers would you recommend that's not expensive and does it matter if your trimmers are zero gabbed or not
