Hey guys, Detroiter here...Buddy's is infamous for sure, but there are some other notables too. I'm south of the city ("Downriver") by a few miles and Vito's is a very popular place for this style. I would be ashamed though, if I forgot to mention Foggia's pizza in my hometown (Southgate). They've been around since the 50s under a few names (Vito, who is long gone was in some of the history of the Foggia family pizza business, long story!). Foggia's makes a more traditional italian pie and is my favorite. THANKS for the recipe and Detroit shout out. There are several notable "Detroit Style" pizzarias in and around the city. You could keep pretty busy trying them all out. Mama Mia!

I really like the way the video captures the dough making process, I went to the Brooklyn Brothers website and got the written out recipe for Detroit style pizza dough. Question I have, that gold Pizza Pan in this video looks bigger than 8 x 10, Is it a 14x10 Loyds pan with rounded corners?
Thanks for the reply. I made Your Detroit dough recipe yesterday. Going to take the dough out of the refrigerator at about noon today and let the it start rising. I made 1/2 of the receipe, going to use the 8"x 10" Loyds pan. That dough came together nicely in my K.A. mixer, about 1 hour after mixing the dough I had a nice puffy warm dough ball ready for the refrigerator. When I see how the dough fits and rises in the 8" x 10" I can proportion it up to for the 14"x10" pan.
Best pizza dough I ever made PERIOD. The dough was so easy to make, following your directions. After taken out of the refrigerator the dough puffed up nicely was very easy to work with. The key things I got from your directions were, yeast in water --98 degreez in The mixing bowl first, mix, rest, let rise, refrigerate, watered down pizza sauce to keep the dough moist, partially cook pizza before topping the cheese.
