Annie Sparkle, There are so many recipes on TH-cam, DIY your own Detergent. Most tell you that you can shave your own soap, buy pre-shaved soap or use a food processor. The other expense is buying to many ingredients to make your detergent. She is also making a very small batch which is great for beginners. Also her recipe can be doubled or tripled. Be sure not to use more than 1-2 Tablespoons per wash. I use vinegar as a natural fabric softener and it also keeps your detergent from clogging your washers drum. Sorry for a long comment but I hope this helps get you started. Good Luck and I hope others see this to help them.

It really helps beginner soap makers, it's a helper for people living on a tight budget, it's an easy recipe for those who want to sell soap and improve the family income, it's a nice hobby, it can be useful in times of economy crisis or in a poor country like mine (Brazil), AND it's a good idea for gifts.
Hi Dear, first, your videos are fantastic. Please keep them coming. I made your laundry soap out of desperation for two reasons 1. Cost and 2. Harshness. My "dainties" were itchy and leaving bumps - and Persil Sensitive is quite a price if you have to do everything in it! SO, I made up your wonderful recipe.
This was the most useful soap making vid I has ever seen, it always looks so expensive or so dramatic with all the exotic stuff in these soap vid, but this is feasable, n execution doesn't look like to hard... Thank u thank u thank.
