    It never ceases to amaze me how much knowledge the two of you combined have when it comes to bass fishing. Even the legends of fishing like Martin, Dance etc... have to be amazed at the level of knowledge and love for fishing you guys have and the fact you guys enjoy teaching so much. Its almost as if the torch has been past from those guys to the two of you. And its because of you guys and others like you, that Bass fishing will continue to grow. Thanks so much for everything you guys along with your families do to help us become better anglers!!!!! Im sure your families dont get enough credit for what they do behind the scenes. But just know we appreciate what they do as much as we appreciate what yall do.

    Poppin frogs do great around me! I’ve got bites on poppin frogs than any other form of bait including worms, rattle traps and jerk baits basically any other form of bait for bass fishing! Especially the Booyah popping frog and river2sea popping frogs! Get good bass bites and snakehead bites also! Both durable brands caught countless snakeheads and decent bass on them and they hold up!

    I honestly prefer throwing my frogs on my medium heavy setup. Never been a fan of fishing with broom sticks and I don't have any issues with landing those big fish. And I fish some nasty slop. Just to let people know you don't HAVE to have a heavy rod to have fun with a frog.

    Frog fishing is both the most exciting and potentially most heartbreaking way to fish for bass. Only rod I've ever broken while fishing was on a hookset after a massive bass flushed the toilet on a frog over a submerged bed of hydrilla. Same lake 2 years later I had the biggest bass I've ever hooked jump and come unbuttoned on a frog. Despite all that, I'll throw one every chance I get!

  • @wilmerpruitt6324

    I've been using the Scum Frog Launch Series for the last couple of years now. So many great things incorporated into this frog. Parasite weight internally, also a button weight added to the rear between the hooks to aid in walking and keeping it's rear slightly downward, causing it to bounce or bob when not walking it. It got it's named legitimately, it "Launches" when cast, heavier than most frogs. Great frog

You covered all the basic types, some of the line types & power weights, some of the rods lenghts & powers, and some reel ratios to use or not to use. Best of all you included a wide variety with variables for each type and style !! AND - DRUM ROLL - you did all this without it being a one-brand commercial for a single brand !! 👏 BRAVO, WELL DONE! And, you did all this for us while watching those biggies blowups all around you. That's SERIOUS DEDICATION TO YOUR TH-cam FANS 👏! I hope that you were able to SMACK SOME BIGGIES afterwards 😀 😉. 😊 🙏

    Best fishing channel on TH-cam. I just got my Expride 7'3" XH and Curado DC from Tackle Warehouse and I have a question. How do you spool your baitcaster with braid? Over the years, you have talked about using monofilament backing before spooling the braided line. You have also mentioned using electrical tape on the spool and then going straight to braid over the tape. I was wondering if you guys had settled on one best method for spooling braid on a baitcaster. Thank you for your time.

    • @Shudaba
      @Shudaba 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many baitcasters are made braid ready. If the spool have braid rating ratios on it, I'd assume it's braid ready. The spool should have some grip to it instead of smooth spool. If not braid ready, many will put a layer of mono on the bottom, tie on braid to finish. Hope this helps.

    Every time I try to change the frog hook with an upgrade, I tear the frog apart. EVERY TIME!
    Do you guys have some sort of a system OR suggestions?
    Like Tim suggested, and my own observation, the older frogs have hooks that anyone would want to replace with versions that more sharp! I have many older frogs that fall into that category.

    Been looking forward to this video all year! How does that Expride rod compare to the Loomis IMX-Pro 885C TWFR? Also I hear that 12 pounds of drag is supposedly the "minimum" for froggin (??) but I know y'all DEFINITELY know what y'all are talking about so that Metanium at 11-ish works well? I've been considering that reel for my "do almost everything" reel. What could I do to a Curado 200K HG or a Curado 150 DC XG (both around 11#) to really up that max drag pressure?? Assuming I even NEED to. Y'all rock! Keep those awesome videos coming! Been watching with my dad and bro for quite a while

    I just started using Scum Frogs, love the launcher. Between them and Spro, that’s all I’ll ever use now.

    Man scum frog is almost exclusively the only frog I use. Both the regular and tourney styles. I get by far more.hooks on scum over any other soft body

    Like always, an excellent video guys. I was amazed at how far down the rabbit hole you went with it. You can definitely get lost in there.😉
    The best part though, when you couldn't hold back any more and grabbed the rod.

    What is that very first frog he pulled out of his box at 2:14? Has legs like I have never seen before. He never mentioned what it is?

    Ever try the Blitz Phrog? My favorite as it’s a combination of buzz bait/whopper plopped type frog.

    The terminator frogs I have been using are awesome but what do you think about tieing leaders so the fish isn't spoked by your braid in more open water situations

    Not a frog subject but what braid in 20 to 30 lb test have you found to cast the farthest on a spinning reel?

    • @bassingthrough
      @bassingthrough 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 50lb. And with the right adjustment on the tension. And the breaks completely open I get it way out there.

      @@bassingthrough my question wasn’t about frog fishing or baitcasters. As I stated “Not a Frog subject” and I said a spinning reel. I’m looking for Tim’s favorite brand of braid in 20 to 30 lb for spinning reels. Something to get a weightless wacky rig way out there. I use Maxcuatro now and thinking of going to Power Pro super slick.

      @@jamesbarron1202 I see. I've had success on a spinning rod with the yozuri super braid @20lb. Able to get out there, and didn't struggle pulling bass out of structures, and docks.

    I threw on a brand new Sprinker on the other day. 3rd cast a pike hit it and bite me clean off. Such a bummer cause they're hard to get where I am in Canada.

    Have you guys tried the 6th Sense Vega frog? I feel like it’s a unique shape and style, I like it.
