Great video again Byron. Good to see the apprentice at work. Multiple, tiny chips on the windscreen has always bothered me and I was never sure if PPF on the screen was effective. I am now convinced, if properly done it will add protection without loss of visibility. This is a step beyond most PPF installers and I hope it helps to push Top Wrapz Ltd to a new higher level.
Absolutely amazing to see your thoughts on this ..... Important to note this is a windscreen specific protection film so it's not just body PPF applied to the window this is an 8mil thick tpu plastic . I'm one of very few installing this stuff in the UK so I'd like to think with my experience in the PPF world I can be well known in the screen protection world. It's an exciting new product for us here . Thanks again for your comments . 😍
Great job mate👍 Do you think it would work on a curved windscreen...it looks quite flexible? What about aftercare to stop scratching...silicone wiper blades?
With a big pull it will likely go round BUT..... Too much stretch you can see if inside slightly. But if it's protecting something special it's worth it. Silicone blades won't hurt it, my oldest installs are coming up to a year now daily driven ( unlike the car in the video ) and they are perfect. One of my best services we offer. The film is extremely expensive. Lastly the slip ratio is very very important. Too little and the film distorts.
I have a 2022 S Class and about to get my second windshield replaced. Luckily my insurance pays but it’s still $3k due to the forward facing sensors in the Rearview mirror need to be recalibrated etc. a whole headache. I’ll be using something like this from now on
Hi Edwin , great to see you comment , my customers are absolutely loving this product. Interesting you mention Mercedes we've just done a fleet of maybachs and s classes for a limo firm and 4 needed new screens , they seem to be be pretty susceptible to damage ... The company has already saved a screen as the protection did its job. Find a good installer your side of the pond , and expect to pay around 630 bucks . Well worth it . This would have saved your screen and let's be honest you really don't want the risk of associated damaged removing screens . once the films beat up in a few years , simply rip it off and replaced and ask the installer for a discount for repeat business. Win win.
Nope... Their is a slight distortion but man is so so so tiny many wouldn't even see it. However if their is a fair amount of distortion the installers are likely stretching to much, theirs a real sweet spot with the STEK windscreen protection film.
That's actually not our experience here. If it did I simply wouldn't offer it .... Our oldest one is 12 months old. And it's got a very small amount of wiper marks absolutely nothing to be concerned about. From what I'm seeing , 3 years and it will be dead. Which is good going.
@@topwrapzltd Thanks for the reply. It's $800 a pop here and the two installers I spoke to told me it will scratch up easily with wipers, and I am extremely careful never to operate my wipers without sufficient water. It just doesn't work out economically. I don't have the skills to do it myself, I am talking about a professional installer such as yourself. So forgetting economics for a second, my desire for a windscreen film shield is for safety. I have a huge 12 month trip round Australia planned by car, there will be a lot of outback, a lot of trucks, and my thought process is that it may help prevent something like a large rock coming right through my windshield, as in, fatality protection. Do you think these things have any value in that regard? I mean I know it's low odds but anything for a bit of peace of mind. In my case it's not about protecting it from chips and such.
@@topwrapzltd I found a local installer who said he will coat it with ceramic after which will help the film last longer. I am heading off in April and will let you know how I go and if I like the product! Thank you!
Buy some STEK cure. It's only 30 bucks and it actually heals the scratches etc .. spray on , leave for 5 mins and wipe off with a microfibre. Take care teddy thanks for the messages . Byron.
Looks absolute 🔥 great product that'll keep a car looking fresher for longer.
You will love this one !! Total game changer.

Good work. What's in the canister that you pressurized?
It's a slip solution specifically mixed for this windscreen film. Thanks for watching.
@@topwrapzltd May I ask what's in it to complete the instructions on installation?

Have you had any customers complain about distortion? Mine has slight distortion, but it doesn't bother me that much.

It's horrible after a few months.. it's great initially though.. it scratches up like crazy.. hate it.
