I bought my type r to Honda and they changed it for free at %70 in Coral Springs got a check engine light and they cleared it and did a whole service for me

Check for oil leak signs below the vacuum pump.
Mine is in the dealer right now changing those gaskets.
I seen others with that problem.
The dealer will not tell you.
Thanks for telling me, I don’t think I have thy issue, I have over 7k miles now, I know those issues are more prevalent in the units that came out first, I bought mine 7 months after release and followed the build process from factory. So hopeful won’t have any issues fingers crossed 🤞
Do you follow AHC Garage, They have yearly Honda/Acura events at that dealership Their TH-cam channel hosted by Mike one of the head mechanics. The build they do are on point 👀👍

Acura of Pembroke Pines is the best! I bought my Type S at that dealership.

@@official_commanderhale965 it’s a special edition car, they only get so many for the year. The prices for these will only go below MSRP once they start hitting auctions from the dealer… which I doubt will happen.
They only offer the free service to get you in and hope to gain your trust then up sell you next time or find other work.
I don't even pay attention to the service reminder thing in the car, whatever it says about oil %, lol F that.
an oil change on these motors should happen way before 10k, especially the first one.
Doing an oil change on this car is very easy to do, I did mine at 1500 miles for break in and will again at 5k, then every 5k after that, switched to Amsoil full synthetic too.
Doing this, I can expect this engine to stay strong and clean for 300k or more, as I have always done it.
I would not wait til; 10k, they want you to wait so they can sell more cars, oil is cheap, engines are not.
Just my opinion, and to each his own, it is your car after all, but if you want trouble free experience with your engine, change the oil often and do it yourself so it is done right.
A long reach low profile jack from harbor freight works perfect, the shield under the car comes off in 2 minutes, then it is one drain plug, washer and filter and your done.
Kinda feel like you didn’t watch the video 😂 I did it at 7500 miles. My next one I’ll do my self @ 3500 miles and then wait until the next Acura service @ 15 percent oil capacity (I just won’t reset the service counter on the car)
As far as when to change, how, what oil, all that, there’s too many theories out there so I won’t try to go to deep. But your intervals are good too, as long as your taking care of your car
WOWWW 7,500k for your 1st service and I bought a brand new kia Forte ex 2024 and they only gave me 6,000k and I already do my first oil change bout 5,200 and thats a month i racked up all those kilometers and my 2nd they gave up to 11,300 seems a little to quick for some reason.

Na I think manufactures or dealers are trying to cut cost so they make you wait longer . I say do an oil change every 4K miles. But that’s just me. My next one will be much sooner
