- Coastal foraging and beach combing after unsettled weather is always very productive. Here we show you how to collect several types of clams, cockles, mussels and edible seaweeds. Then we find a sheltered spot to cook it up and enjoy a nice rustic meal. I hope you enjoy it.

- With such busy lives and a busy world we try to make sure we enjoy whatever we are doing together, but this is a real passion. We love the outdoors and spending the day together on the shore is just perfection. :)

It's so amazing how much you know about the sea life, I love how you and your wife are teaching that to James. I'm hoping someday my husband and I will get those teaching moments as parents especially involving nature, my husband is an avid fisherman and loves hiking around our beaches and I love the ocean, so I could see us doing this someday.

I've watched a few of your videos and they're really interesting content. The first thing I appreciate is your knowledge and attitude. It's almost like being out on the beach with you, you are a patient and informative teacher. The second is your parenting; you seem like a great father. very patient, polite, and caring with your boy. In another video where you found that lobster under the rock really exemplified it. It wasn't all "be careful, don't do this, don't do that, sit down, shut up, eat this", you don't force him to eat it, and you aren't forcing the skills on him, but just being around you while you do it will have the best impression on him. Once he's older and gets a taste for the seafood, it will be useful to have another pair of keen eyes and hands! best wishes to you and your family.

What a cracking video,so full of information and thankyou for letting us know about edible seaweed 👌 that looked like a feast for sore eyes.l often go getting my own winkles but now the sky's the limit.All that free sea food for a couple of hours on the shore line oh yeh.The chinese love mussels for the iodine which is very good for your throat,l learnt this while working in a wet fish shop...a job l absolutely loved,just being able to handle all the different species of fish 👍 all the very best 🌱 🌱 🌱

Used to be a fisherman in Point Judith Rhode Island, it's good and heartwarming to see this, this is how my mom and dad raised me, but the only thing I dislike are scallops, can't stand em. How's the kid, he like helping his dad and mom collect stuff on the beach? I started young too, working on the draggers at 12. Put a rod in his hand yet? Keep up these amazing videos, I only just found this channel but it's already got me nostalgic for home, good work you three.
- He is already becoming a fine fisherman. We have a couple of videos on the channel with his first fish on his own rod. His first bass and his first ray. He makes me so proud. :)

- It is a real blessing to have such beauty where we live. It is only so because it is managed and harvested responsibly. There are many areas around our coast that have been completely stripped clean by migrant groups. It is so sad. :(
@@TheFishLocker Yes it has here too. Although the Fisheries and Wildlife Authorities are pretty alert to it here and catch a lot of people with under size crabs and too many but, it doesn't stop them from doing the same thing over and over. My parents used to go and 4 oysters for themselves every year..They went one year and they where all gone, every size gone. They people that took them where caught but, the oysters have never returned to that spot.
I'm with James, I don't like shellfish either. Although, I do find the process of finding and cooking it all very fascinating. I've never seen the ocean.

Yet another great video, like these as much as the fishing videos. I like the cooking, food cooked simply better than most restaurants (apart from Indian) where you retain natural flavour with limited enhancement. Lemon, Lime, garlic and a pinch of salt are always enough. There is a beach in West Looe where when I lived in Cornwall you could spend all low tide collecting shells, netting prawns etc. Went back to Looe recently now complete tourist trap would never want live there now.
