Hello, how are you all? It's been great to have a couple of weeks off with the family but I've missed our chit chats so it does feel good to be back! So today, as promised, I'm sharing what I wore and did on our summer holiday to Turkey. We headed to a place called Antalya and it was gorgeous. Super hot, lovely people and a beautiful hotel that had everything we could need and more. Thoroughly spoilt and lovely to have that family time together:) We were pretty lazy, barely making it out of the hotel! But in my defence the resort had so many different restaurants and things for the boys to do we didn't need to go anywhere. I'd been craving a super relaxing holiday so it definitely delivered. Perfect accompaniment to my Sunday morning cuppa. Looks fabulous, so glad you all had a good time. Totally agree about listening to the ocean, it’s so soothing, spent a lot of time on my hols in Barbados just being mesmerised watching and listening to the waves gently lapping on the beach. A book I read on holiday which was so far removed from my usual choices (crime fiction/murder etc) was Lady In Waiting by Lady Anne Glenconner. I saw her on Graham Norton ages ago and she was so entertaining, I thought I’d give it a go. A great insight into how “the other half” live (don’t mean that in a patronising way), and despite my reservations, I really, really enjoyed it.
Lovely video 👍🏻 I actually watched it till the end and it was relaxing and interesting to see what you were wearing and what you did. I especially love your natural makeup look! No need to pile on layers and layers of foundation etc. you looked comfortable in your skin. Nice! 👏🏻

Our book group read the book and I really enjoyed it. I never see the movie before reading the book. I like to see the characters in my mind first rather than picturing the actors as I read the book.
Yes, that's so true:) In truth with this book because I'd already seen the advert for the movie before I read the book I did have Daisy Edgar-Jones in mind as I read, she was perfectly cast I thought. I won't spoil it for anyone but do you know if they kept the end the same for the movie? x

It was wonderful to see and hear about your family trip to Turkey. My sister read and recommended the book Where the Crawdads Sing to me so I think I'll wait for the movie., but I'm too embarrassed to tell others here the books I read! (it's not that bad really). You really know how to pick all the right outfits for yourself. I like that you added a hat to many of them, it's like the spicing on the cake. You always look gorgeous. Oh yes, the jewelry was unique (black/gold)(bracelet) and something I would pick for me.

Oh wow, 4 weeks in Bali sounds absolute bliss Freda:) Out of interest are you renting a house or staying in a hotel? We looked at going there with the boys but didn't know which would work best x
@@FashionStyleEdit we are staying in hotel in Kuta .. beautiful full service rooms with breakfast, maid service ,washing facilities and 4 restaurants with different cruisines. Swimming pools and more. Only about 950 dollars for 12 days. I will give you the name when I get my paperwork . Villa's are about the same price but you do most of the work.
Sounds like a wonderful holiday! I will be going to Turkey next month for a short break, I have heard so many wonderful stories from people who have been there. I moved from Melbourne to Athens over 7 months ago and I still struggle with the heat, trying to decide what clothes to wear as you can only wear breathable fabric, linen, Cotten etc. You mentioned not wearing makeup, I agree. What’s the point when it just slides off your face and you have to tie your hair up as it turns to frizz and it’s way too hot to blow wave and straighten. Arghh! I haven’t learnt to dress or be elegant in the heat…you make it look so effortless.

That was a lovely collection of outfits! Like yourself, I overpacked for a recent trip to Europe (Portugal and Spain), plus I bought some fabulous pieces while there. Needless to say, I had to sit on my suitcase to close it for the return trip. Turkey is such a magical place. I plan to return there sometime in the future. BTW, I ate my way through my trip and did gain a couple of pounds...but well worth it as the food was delicious! Glad that you enjoyed your vacation and good to have you back!

It is amazing how much you can squeeze into a suitcase, right 😂? I once had an under the seat suitcase & fit 5 outfits in it along with everything else I needed including my book, a second pair of shoes, journal, travel tea cup & a lounge outfit 😂. There are two things that would be nice to have your opinion on: 1) do you have any favorite American brands that you enjoy wearing? 2) thick opaque t-shirts that are not see through & come in black, white, others shades, crew/vneck? If I think of anything else, I will message you. Oh, I would love your opinion on button down blouses for ample bosom ladies like myself. I have the hardest time trying to find one that looks feminine, drapes like it does on your frame, but the buttons do not pop open 😳😬. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you 😊❤️. Cheers 😉🌷

My trick is to roll every item, travel size of all products & 1 palette that includes all the makeup I want. I use the Billion Dollar magnetic case, de-pot my makeup & pop it into the case. I love it so much but find it difficult to wear as I need a bra and I find strapless bras so uncomfortable, something I hadn't considered when I ordered it. You look so good in it though! xx

Hi Jess you are one of my favorites I enjoy your every video. I am so glad you ve visited Turkey cause I am Turkish and following you from Ankara Turkey. I could not catch the name of the hotel. Just a small comment. There are so many wonderful places to see and visit in Turkey it's a shame you spent you whole time in a hotel. Make sure you plan and travel Turkey especially Istanbul in spring or autumn when it is not so hot. Hope to see you here again cheers
Hi Emel, gosh you're so right! We had an incredibly lazy holiday it was useless of us to not travel around and see all the beautiful sights! In my defence though I think we were both so exhausted from work and the boys were happy and occupied at the resort, the rest and relaxation was just what we needed:) Next time though we must travel around. The hotel we stayed at is called Lara Barut, do you know it? I think they're opening some villas soon too so that's a nice option for those travelling in larger groups. Really beautiful hotel and the food was incredible. A relaxing holiday all round. x
I always overpack for holidays. 🙄 I try to cleverly mix and match outfits, but it’s those ‘just in case’ items that seem to add up. How do people pack a carry-on bag for two weeks? I struggled to do it for a weekend! 😂 You are making me look forward to summer. I’m so sick of winter here in Perth. Glad you had a lovely holiday. 🥰
Haha that's exactly it Cathy! The just in cases take over my suitcase! The reality for me is that I have 3 boys who barely fill a carry on so I can stuff all my 'extras' into 3 more bags! What I'm going to do when they don't want to holiday with us anymore I don't know! Aww that’s a sweet thing to say, thanks so much lovely 😊 Much appreciated:) I have a shine, glow type serum I’ve been using which is amazing. And I sometimes use a highlighter pen on my temples just to lift that area up. I only add a tiny bit, but I rarely wear foundation and certainly not on holiday so it just gives your skin that extra glow which always helps x

Perfect accompaniment to my Sunday morning cuppa. Looks fabulous, so glad you all had a good time. Totally agree about listening to the ocean, it’s so soothing, spent a lot of time on my hols in Barbados just being mesmerised watching and listening to the waves gently lapping on the beach. A book I read on holiday which was so far removed from my usual choices (crime fiction/murder etc) was Lady In Waiting by Lady Anne Glenconner. I saw her on Graham Norton ages ago and she was so entertaining, I thought I’d give it a go. A great insight into how “the other half” live (don’t mean that in a patronising way), and despite my reservations, I really, really enjoyed it.
Lovely video 👍🏻 I actually watched it till the end and it was relaxing and interesting to see what you were wearing and what you did. I especially love your natural makeup look! No need to pile on layers and layers of foundation etc. you looked comfortable in your skin. Nice! 👏🏻

Our book group read the book and I really enjoyed it. I never see the movie before reading the book. I like to see the characters in my mind first rather than picturing the actors as I read the book.
Yes, that's so true:) In truth with this book because I'd already seen the advert for the movie before I read the book I did have Daisy Edgar-Jones in mind as I read, she was perfectly cast I thought. I won't spoil it for anyone but do you know if they kept the end the same for the movie? x

It was wonderful to see and hear about your family trip to Turkey. My sister read and recommended the book Where the Crawdads Sing to me so I think I'll wait for the movie., but I'm too embarrassed to tell others here the books I read! (it's not that bad really). You really know how to pick all the right outfits for yourself. I like that you added a hat to many of them, it's like the spicing on the cake. You always look gorgeous. Oh yes, the jewelry was unique (black/gold)(bracelet) and something I would pick for me.

@@FashionStyleEdit we are staying in hotel in Kuta .. beautiful full service rooms with breakfast, maid service ,washing facilities and 4 restaurants with different cruisines. Swimming pools and more. Only about 950 dollars for 12 days. I will give you the name when I get my paperwork . Villa's are about the same price but you do most of the work.

Sounds like a wonderful holiday! I will be going to Turkey next month for a short break, I have heard so many wonderful stories from people who have been there. I moved from Melbourne to Athens over 7 months ago and I still struggle with the heat, trying to decide what clothes to wear as you can only wear breathable fabric, linen, Cotten etc. You mentioned not wearing makeup, I agree. What’s the point when it just slides off your face and you have to tie your hair up as it turns to frizz and it’s way too hot to blow wave and straighten. Arghh!
I haven’t learnt to dress or be elegant in the heat…you make it look so effortless.

That was a lovely collection of outfits! Like yourself, I overpacked for a recent trip to Europe (Portugal and Spain), plus I bought some fabulous pieces while there. Needless to say, I had to sit on my suitcase to close it for the return trip. Turkey is such a magical place. I plan to return there sometime in the future. BTW, I ate my way through my trip and did gain a couple of pounds...but well worth it as the food was delicious! Glad that you enjoyed your vacation and good to have you back!

I once had an under the seat suitcase & fit 5 outfits in it along with everything else I needed including my book, a second pair of shoes, journal, travel tea cup & a lounge outfit 😂. There are two things that would be nice to have your opinion on: 1) do you have any favorite American brands that you enjoy wearing? 2) thick opaque t-shirts that are not see through & come in black, white, others shades, crew/vneck? If I think of anything else, I will message you. Oh, I would love your opinion on button down blouses for ample bosom ladies like myself. I have the hardest time trying to find one that looks feminine, drapes like it does on your frame, but the buttons do not pop open 😳😬. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you 😊❤️. Cheers 😉🌷

My trick is to roll every item, travel size of all products & 1 palette that includes all the makeup I want. I use the Billion Dollar magnetic case, de-pot my makeup & pop it into the case. I am going to Split soon with my mom and luckily we are both bookworms so yes, we’ll both read a book each by the pool 😝 My mom did not ask «what clothes are you packing?» but «what book are you taking?» 😂 But I will also definately pack my most lovely flowy summer outfits 🤗 Can’t wait for a bit more summer as here in Norway it is now autumn already 😵🍂 (8C this morning)

I love it so much but find it difficult to wear as I need a bra and I find strapless bras so uncomfortable, something I hadn't considered when I ordered it. You look so good in it though! xx

Hi Jess you are one of my favorites I enjoy your every video. I am so glad you ve visited Turkey cause I am Turkish and following you from Ankara Turkey. I could not catch the name of the hotel. Just a small comment. There are so many wonderful places to see and visit in Turkey it's a shame you spent you whole time in a hotel. Make sure you plan and travel Turkey especially Istanbul in spring or autumn when it is not so hot. Hope to see you here again cheers
Hi Emel, gosh you're so right! We had an incredibly lazy holiday it was useless of us to not travel around and see all the beautiful sights! In my defence though I think we were both so exhausted from work and the boys were happy and occupied at the resort, the rest and relaxation was just what we needed:) Next time though we must travel around. The hotel we stayed at is called Lara Barut, do you know it? I think they're opening some villas soon too so that's a nice option for those travelling in larger groups. Really beautiful hotel and the food was incredible. A relaxing holiday all round. x

I always overpack for holidays. 🙄 I try to cleverly mix and match outfits, but it’s those ‘just in case’ items that seem to add up. How do people pack a carry-on bag for two weeks? I struggled to do it for a weekend! 😂 You are making me look forward to summer. I’m so sick of winter here in Perth. Glad you had a lovely holiday. 🥰
Haha that's exactly it Cathy! The just in cases take over my suitcase! The reality for me is that I have 3 boys who barely fill a carry on so I can stuff all my 'extras' into 3 more bags! What I'm going to do when they don't want to holiday with us anymore I don't know! Aww that’s a sweet thing to say, thanks so much lovely 😊 Much appreciated:) I have a shine, glow type serum I’ve been using which is amazing. And I sometimes use a highlighter pen on my temples just to lift that area up. I only add a tiny bit, but I rarely wear foundation and certainly not on holiday so it just gives your skin that extra glow which always helps x
