I got into the "Dark Star" version from Live/Dead because of Jerry's soloing and have loved it for years. But recently I got back on a Dead kick and for some reason I've noticed Bobby's playing a lot more. I love the way he vamps on chords and doesn't just play with a bunch of up-and-down strumming (which, as someone who has played rhythm guitar for many years, I find hard to break away from). He's got a great knowledge and understanding of chord voicings and all that stuff, and it really shows in how he plays.
Just bought this guitar and it is by far the best I have ever played, as soon as I picked it up without plugging into a amp it just sang. I would put it up any Gibson Thanks for making this guitar
Mostly people wayching it on a 4 inch smartphone screen, they believe they've tapped the thums up button but it wasn't. Happened to me a couple of times.
He was always mixed in such a way that it was hard to pick him out at times...but as much as they fucked with him...they never dared mix him all the way out...he was the glue and without his masterful rhythm guitar the dead would have eventually gotten lost in space!
I love Bobby and this crazy D'angelico, but one... not my favorite color, wish they had a walnut, or a burgundy choices. two, why even yell the story of Jer asleep at the wheel, not related to the guitar... nor complimenting of Jerry. Maybe he was saying jerry was so good he shreads in his sleep, but thats me assuming he was trying to be positive. When, honestly it seemed like a random negative, not needed story. Just promote your guitar, about storys about you bobby bear. Leave jers dark days out of it. Just my 2 cents. NFA fam.
Nah this was exactly the type of stuff Jerry and the Boys would say and pull all the time. I think Jerry would be more distressed by the fact that people think Bobby should stop making his stupid jokes on account of being insensitive because Jerry took much drugs and ate too much.
awesome guitar, awesome artist, but can we agree this may be the best recording of bob weir singing loose lucy?
I was listening to this astonished. Sounds amazing!!!! Yeah Bobby!!!
It's pretty darn good
Bob has an incredible right hand, when he's not squashed in the mix you can really hear the great tone his strumming technique gives to the band

I love Bob Weir. I love this guitar. I love the stories. I love this video.
I love it all too, but I'll put his singing also in the same list.
Gosh this guitar sounds great and even better with weir playing it!
I saw Bob Many Many times.. keep it up, Buddy!!! That is One Major Guitar. Pal!!

His voice aged so well
Wow what a legend
How does this only have 20,000 views. This man is a legend.
No other person ever has rocked more faces then Bob Weir.
Bob Weird is great, and so is D'Angelico. Please bring back the hot nickel concept strings!
This is the best he's sounded in a long time. He should do this solo performing. Just playing in small clubs. Would be very cool.
as others have mentioned, IMHO Bob has been criminally mixed too low, too often, for too many years especially in the live recordings.
Beautiful guitar, incredible talent playing it
My music teacher is Roger Sprung... he said you have to be able to play while you're Asleep... I guess he was right!!🎶🎵🎶
A good guitarist can adapt to a style compromise. Thats the most perfect guitar Ive ever seen. Its just...damn.
Bob Weir, one of the most interesting and odd figures in music history, form the last 60 years at least.
Love this thank you bob thank you jerry thank you greatful dead 💀⚡️💜✨🙏
Big fat thanks to Phil and pigpen too!
And thanks to Brent, great second, second wind
Thanks for posting!!
that is a perfect guitar.
thank you for this
Bobby fans are people too. ❤
He's the most delicate strum
How does it sound like a clean guitar playing over a distorted or fuzzy guitar I don’t see any pedals ?!?! Asking for a friend
Cool
Who were the 16 soulless people that thumbed this down? I'll pray for y'all.
Nordicom Systems Azerbaijani

sweet
Yet another "signature" guitar you rarely see the artist play.
he plays the signature Bedford Deluxe, often !
Ya, what happened to his other signature D'Angelico.
How much $ for a Weir guitar
$1099!
Top !!
I actually think I prefer the chrome version.
If ever in New York...

He’s second rate.
Robert Weir the last of American Poets
And to think almost fired Bob.
why does he low-key look like John Petrucci
Azen Berries haha he does maybe it's his dad lol
I can't take those extreme close ups. Nobody needs to see the nose hair
R u gay ?
I like them
I love Bob’s playing, but, there’s zero continuity between the guitars John D’Angelico made and these guitars. The similarities are just superficial.

Vaughan Vonj Jin he said "he was a talented dude " I think it was meant as a compliment , but I see your point
Thought the same thing,. Why even keep that story in the video.

Thank God you didn't put a nickel in!
Love Bob. Hate the beard.
