    I bought one a few weeks ago. It’s a great guitar, very versatile and easy to play.

    Bob can't retire.. He's gotta carry the torch.. and being a Bobby Acoustic Junkie, when he digs into an intro.. and then wanders off the path for a bit, playing bits and pieces of chords... coming around through the five and tying it together.. before a word is sung, Bob, through his guitar... has spoken. After researching this guitar 🎸, I thought it would fill the tonal gap I have with my guitar arsenal, Jeff Beck Strat, SG, 345, and a PRS hollow body 2, . The last 2 weeks I have played a wide range of my catalogue and it has been impressive especially in the upper register, but I’m having trouble with the trem it is pulling out of tune and will not hold a high position like Jeff Beck needed. I’m working with those issues cause I want to keep it, spending 300.00 on a trem system for a new guitar is a burn 🔥 in the ass. Fire on the mountain…man

    Really love this guitar, p90s are a great option. What does the deluxe do that the standard can't in terms of sound? Are the pickups and coil taps superior, or is it a difference between normal or gold hardware? I'm consider either model.

    • @DAngelicoNY
      @DAngelicoNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hey Colin, it's really a matter of more boutique pickups (seymour duncan x lollar) and higher end hardware (grover, wilkinson, jescar) on the deluxe in addition to the gold hardware. But the Premier is still excellent - and tonally hits a very similar space.

    I love it has that strats cluck but fat like a humbucker. Maybe it’s the amps EQ.

    To bad it has a Wilkinson 6 point trem on it. D'angelico, will you ever use a dual fulcrum tremelo?

  • @dkelley9661
    @dkelley9661 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’m a bit surprised by the P90s, are they humbuckers? Or straight P90’s?

    • @DAngelicoNY
      @DAngelicoNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They are stacked P-90s! Which behaves like a humbucker in that it uses a second coil to fight off noise. If you pull out the volume knob (corresponds to neck pickup split) or master tone knob (corresponds to bridge pickup split) you essentially remove the second coil to make it a true vintage style P-90. Check out our demo for more info!

      D'Angelico Guitars nice, thanks on the reply! Good call on the p’ups. I have two Les Pauls with P90’s, they’re great for some things, less on others. The humbucking fix with coil splitting is nice.

    Don't get me wrong in no guitar player BUT my first GUITAR was an IBANEZ god WAY BACK when I don't know WHEN. !!!

      One of my many electric guitars in my misspent youth was a Bobby Weir model Ibanez. Mahogany wings, neck through body, gold plated hardware. Sustain for full minutes. God, I miss that guitar. Heavy af, though.

    "A good instrument shouldn't be just for elite folks. I remember when I was young and upcoming I couldn't afford expensive guitars"
    Humble statement and well said.
    However the guitar is over $2000. Something only the "elite" can afford these days

    • @feloniuspunk7078
