- fitting we remix Wublin Island right after Ethereal, no?
just like in The DEFINITIVE Ethereal Island, this song has been recreated from the ground up! Wublin Island is cool, but i always thought it was a bit noisy (along with Monculus being WAY too quiet). and so, i thought i’d alleviate this with some new verses, volume adjustments, and much more! :)

See, THIS is how island's should be mixed and put together. I get that when there's not a lot of monsters, the song is gonna be short, but when there's a shit ton, then it should definitely be 3-5 minutes long. That's exactly what amber island accomplishes, and what I really hope BBB does for up coming islands. They could easily continue adding more monsters to ethereal island if they did this, so fingers crossed for the future
thank you!! i think for islands like Amber or Wublin which have so many monsters, it’s hard to find a balance in song length.
i’ve got a lot more critisism on this mix for sounding too empty sometimes, which i actually didn’t expect. but when you’ve got an island with 21 monsters, imo, you gotta find a way to balance them out so each of them is audible/has their moment. Amber pulls that off pretty well. i think the biggest difference is that some monsters sound SO good that you wished they played longer.
@@theoriginalalex Yeah, exactly. You did that very well with this mix, I definitely feel like it's an improvement over the original, and I don't feel like it was empty at all.
Anyway, keep doing these! It's very unique, and I was trying to find videos like this one, because I've found that a lot of islands would be much better if they were mixed like the ones from the soundtrack.
If I had any suggestions, then:
• Plant Island
• Cold Island
• Water Island
• Fire Haven
• Fire Oasis (I've found this one is S tier when you remove most of the vocals, and it has a lot of potential)
• Celestial Island
• Gold Island
Gold has the most potential out of all of those, as when you look at an Island like Amber, you realize how good a giant monster fest like gold could have been.
Anyway, keep it up, I'm glad I've finallyfound a youtuber who openly likes PvZ and MSM lol

I know that these types of videos don't get as many views as pvz, but I still appreciate this edit. Msm is a classic and I still remember how excited I was as a kid being the only one in my class with the full wublin island

Wow dude, this is awesome! I’ve had a small frustration with Wublin because all the sounds are so good but having the song be so short hurts the song. This fixes this very nicely. Thanks!

@@jvgonzalez90 what grandom said. so many monsters play at once that it’s either hard to hear everyone, or it just sounds like noise. not only that, but the official soundtrack version doesn’t even include Fleechwurm or Maulch. however, it does include Wubbox (the last monster added to Wublin before Monculus), making me wonder if Fleechwurm and Maulch were even planned to be on Wublin Island to begin with. there’s also Monculus, who has a beautiful sound, but it barely audible and doesn’t get a chance to play in other verses

Brooooooo this is literally one of the best mixes ever I Even predicted some of it. (Me being a self proclaimed DJ)
Man i never liked wajje so much like this before, that moment where only he was singing transitioning to the next part was glorious!
Also great use of the crepuscle, i think he's so underated. His first track on the original music contributes so much, but HERE, man you need a trophy for this dope remix! And good use of the wubbox and the green ugly one (i forget his name), i think in the original music they get a little bit annoying but here its perfect!
The thing that for me makes your remix so good is that unlike the original island there isn't so much monsters (but the ones that play are the perfects for the part) playing at the same time, making it extremely good to listen (and wublin is already one of the greatest island in the game so obviously the remix was gonna be wonderful). I think the original is sometimes poluted by the quantity of loud monsters singing, but you found how to make it perfect. Good job!

If this version was in the game, it would probably be my favorite island. The transition at 1:39 is really good, and I like a lot of monsters here. Pixolotl, brump is funny, thwok at the beginning, dermit is funny and looks happy, and blipsqueek is like brump. I just love this island.

He has returned! And so too, must I. Off the bat thwok solo sets the tone for the rest of the song, and already gives it a different feel to the more chaotic start of the vanilla song. Creepuscule joining in gives a ramping up type feeling, I like it! Ooh Dwumrohl starting is when the song really start to take effect, and even now it’s feeling really nice! Ahh there he is, the main wublin himself, Brump!
I was wondering when he’d join and I approve of it being so early since he’s such a main role in the entire island. Oh man that Gheegur and Fleechwurm duo join is actually really powerful and gives it a nice tune especially since Gheegur normally gets drowned out, and even more so Fleechwurm. Hold up this man just did the imposible. He made Zuuker GOOD?! The addition of Bona-petite and Zynth keeps the more chaotic, everything goes rhythm, while some others, like Gheegur and Thwok, keeps some more “underlying”… smoothness? Cant get the word… Anyway, i’m really glad you kept Blipsqueak and Fleechwurm together, they’ve always felt like a duo to me. Ditto for Dermit and Typma (one of my favorites), so I guess we just thought alike here! Powek and Screemu is from the original arrangement, but i see you kept it since it works well enough! Oh also, uh, you forgot to either mute Zynth or didn’t remember to show him as active here, but uh, he is. Oh damn Dwumrohl ending off a beat or two early was POWERFUL. Not much to say about the Brump + Whajje duo, works well, and overall this feels like a breather before you get into what i’m guessing will be something stronger like Maulch? Oh also the all beloved Pixolotl makes an appearance here, very nice.
Oh damn I knew you were gonna do something but wubbox? Didn’t think of it, thats strong. Oh also I didn’t notice Thwok left until they came back, it just makes the entire song feel better, but you hardly notice them. God I love bass. Whajje solo was abrupt, but strangely fitting? It just helps keep the unexpectedness that is wublin island, I like! Halfway through check! if anyone has made it this far, congrats! Anyway Isnt this song return exactly the same as the start of the song for the normal version? Kinda funny how the classic start is halfway through the song, it helps tie it back to the original game, good choice! (Ooh Wubbox makes a return). Oh and it seems like the next part is like the vanilla song too. From here it’s starting to feel a little similar to the original song, though that’s not a bad thing in of itself. Eyy Monculus Is here! is this two songs in a row now? I’m glad he isn’t drowned out here like in the game, I didn’t actually know what he sounded like until now! Post monculus verse is quite good, feels reminiscent of the game, while feeling unique? Oh just realized both Scargo and Maulch have yet to appear… interesting… I do love a good Powek return! They might be a bit too popular for my likes, but they still sound really cool! Hey the two I mentioned have appeared! I Like how it’s theoretically an empty section, but because of Maulch And Wubbox it feels about as strong as ever! The return of monculus! im glad he’s back, since he provides good counter rhythm. Okay i really like how through this entire verse more and more characters are coming, making it more hectic, and then Scargo just completely changed the verse suddenly but nicely! Okay i like this ending verse a lot, it uses some of the more unique ones, and i’m glad Scargo gets his second track in this song. I’m not gonna like I like how pixolotl just ends. No last huzzah, just it stopping.
Okay! I have done this yet again, for hopefully not the last time! Sorry if this wasn’t as good as some others I really love doing this but I don’t really know what to say that hasn’t been said before. Still, I shall continue to Review each one of these definitive editions as they come out! (P.S This took me 41 minutes to make, hooray!) Aaanywho, Bye!

once again, i am blown away with your crazy long reviews!! and, like the others, this was a very enjoyable read :) you picked up a lot of my decisions with the song nicely (along with noticing that i forgot to add zynth to the first poewk verse :( )

I love the beat drop in the middle, but I feel like this is somewhat lacking the loud and chaotic nature of wublin island.
that’s fair. i wanted to add more monsters during certain sections, but i found a lot of difficulty making it “sound good”, so i went into a direction closer to what the official soundtrack did

Damn the pixolotl at end was amazing tho i wish it had of a more end of song sound at the end but overall pixolotl was my favorite wublin its sad that it takes 5 years to wake up without gems dude needs like every 4 element 10 cybops and more so its sad that my favorite wublin is basically the hardest and overall the remix is great wublin island is kinda hard to hear all there monsters so this remix helped listen to them better and im just gonna say the really nice things i liked in the song first was that uh i forgor the name uhh i guess just call him whaja but that solo sounded nice and also i never really thought that monoculus fitted with wublin island but i realized it was supposed to go with screemu i think but i think we should of heard more from scargo amd funny enough this is i think the longest comment i ever made and also i liked he still kept the fleechwurm with the brump because together they sound great overall my favorite remixed island so far

being completely honest, it takes a lot of aligning the sounds little by little and hearing the original side-by-side to get them on beat. just keep practicing, and you’ll get better!

I think this remix of wublin island misses the original vibe of wublin island, here it feels more simplistic and tries to be a coherent piece of music but on the actual wublin island the vibe I get from it is that it's purposely chaotic
