Generic p$p don’t light up, but when shine light I can screen is on. Think for ideapad 3 you have to go with genuine screen

Just make sure you don't get a screen from LCDBROS - they'll send you lower resolution screens hoping you wont notice!!

What if your problem is the lcd cable, black screen but when I plug it into a monitor with an hdmi it shows my computer screen on the monitor
More likely Not the cable. Unless you felt the cable was damaged or cut.

Do you know if the 20VE model is the same for the process of getting under the screen? I need to open it up to get at the microphone inside to fix an issue there.
The screen is replaced, but the images on the screen are very faint. It seems as though, there is a light source that is not working. Is the new screen defective? Do I need to check something on the motherboard?

Good practice if is to disconnect the battery before doing anything. But I did not disconnect. It is fine for me without doing it.
The bezel just clicks in or is there some sort of glue used for it? Cause after taking it off it looks loose(doesn't blend in like before)
