I love the fact that you obviously didn't pre-dissamble the unit. You let us all see the little hiccups you ran into, in particular that rotating dust cover between the hinges. Did you actually get that reinstalled correctly? it didn't look quite right. Anyway thanks for your time, one of the best disassembly videos I've seen.
As much as it looks easy to do, I still would give this job to professionals like you. I ain't doing it myself because that LCD is really expensive to buy.
Thanks from Japan. I will have to do this soon. Black band across bottom of screen, about 3 centimeters deep, with a pink and green line separating the black band and the working area of the screen, just for reference in case it helps anyone.
Wondering if you only need to reseat your 30 pin connector to solve? Unless screen is broken, my experience is when only lines, typically only connection needs reseated or repaired.
@@jafinch78 Thanks but I replaced the screen with an aftermarket one, which I think I paid less than 10,000 yen for, a couple of months after I posted this.

Is it possible to just replace the cables of the screen😮?
Do you mean the LVDS cable? The one between the screen and the motherboard? Of course you can replace only the cable.
