Dealing with this right now. Our design company hired a team that did a terrible job with the patio pour. Now another team has to come in, rip it out, and pour a new slab.

I’m initially from San Diego but moved to Texas when I was still in high school, I just turned 21 and have done two of these stair sets on my own before I found your channel, I formed did steel & poured but had help from an og finisher I know because I don’t have a lot of finishing experience yet. I also weld and do floating metal steps. I’m really wanting to start my own company officially working on getting licensed out here but I miss California and the beach a lot. I watched another one of your videos you talked about your past about how you were adopted and that resonated with me a lot. I was adopted as well you have very much inspired me.

Most concrete recycling places will not take giant chunks of concrete like that. Especially they charge more money if it's got rebar on it
They do here ✌️but some places do complain
The biggest problem is the get hung up alot of the time when we try to dump them. Also you can fit more in the load when they are smaller chunks you can get a more condensed load.

@@staycompassionate3811 I scaled down my company sold equipment and extra vehicles I do not need.and focus on jobs that will line up for the company if they are not fit for us or the people are weird ect we don’t do it. We sub all the hauling out now as well.we purchased a new breaker and don’t work as many hours 7 days a week as before

As a very high end concrete contractor & Architectural Technologist in my own business since 1983, yes, West Coast does better, higher quality prep, forming, reinforcement, placing and finishing than Victory. Victory is an average company that pumps out volume and they stay away from custom high end work.
I have clients that would spend $25K on a set of front entrance steps in the 1990's.
I have clients that would spend more than $250K for their concrete work around their home.
Victory is average and if you can't see the difference between their work and West Coast, you don't know too much about who does better work.

There are different calibers of concrete companies...I can see that you like to do architectural & challenging concrete projects.
I love challenging myself to intricate & custom stair designs as well as other intricate concrete work.
There are only a few of us who know how to do this work, and do it well to the highest standards & quality workmanship.
There is nothing wrong with being proud of being able to do work that sets yourself apart from your run of the mill concrete companies.
Anyone can do concrete...but I'm going to say that we are probably in the top 5-10% of the industry when it comes to overall ability & quality.
There have been many jobs that my competition would not even bid on because it was too challenging...I always love a good challenge, and that's why you get paid very well and don't have to work 100 hours a week and pour 30-40 yards a day.
Sorry for the long rant. 😆

"i don't care if they don't all have the same shirts or hats on." facts. unfortunately people are overlooking capabilities for the drama queens these days. plenty of contractors out here with matching trucks and equipment but do shoddy work. lots of contractors here in nyc who became millionaires using "dAy LabOrErS." at the end of the day its not easy having full-time guys anymore. long as the product is good, shouldnt matter. why would i do hourly payroll for 5 guys when i can have 3 good guys who get paid every few days cash and do better work with no bullshit coffee breaks and crying about a paper-cut for worker comp. simple as that.

They are very similar but some properties there is no where to wash it. So yes in some cases sand blasting is the only way to go✌️
