That’s so cool that Elaine knew Jerry before he became the Jerry we all know.

Yes, it is called *multi-dimensional unix permissions.* A person like myself, a resident of New Zealand, should not necessarily *need to know* about Matt Gaetz. Well I do know as it happens, but it's not required that I know.

Another ideolog posing as an Academic. Talks utter crap.

Your comment is utter crap. It makes you sound like the ideologue in this equation. You're probably a conservative, perhaps even fundamentalist, Christian who feels threatened by someone who has views contrary to your own. Ms. Pagels is not posing as an Academic. She IS an Academic. She earned a BA and MA from Stanford University and a PhD in Religion from Harvard University. She has been a Professor at Barnard College (1974-1982) and Princeton University (1982-Present). She is the recepient of many awards including the MacArthur Fellowship (1981), National Book Award (1980), National Book Critics Circle Award (1979), Guggenheim Fellowship (1979), Rockefeller Fellowship (1978), and the Howard T. Behrman Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Humanities (2012), She's the author of several books including the acclaimed and bestselling The Gnostic Gospels (1979) and Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas (2003). She was an Evangelical Christian in her teens, but left after being told by a fellow congregant that her 16 year old Jewish friend who died in an accident would be go to hell. However, she still retained an interest in religion, especially in early Christianity, and decided to pursue an academic career in the the study and history of Religion. After the death of her son and husband, she returned to Christianity, but as one with decidedly more liberal views based on her years of study and research as an Academic. What exactly are your Academic credenitals and accomplishments?
