In Arkham knight if you choose not to save Ra's you could literally quote the movie Batman Begins " I'm Not Going To Kill You, But I Don't Have To Save You "👍
Damien held his grandfather to a high regard despite him later learning his teachings weren't exactly the best. He just didn't admit it to the team because...well he's Damien 🤷 his pride won't let him
On Damian killing Ra's Al Gul he might have been thinking that his grandfather had become a puppet and wanted to free him if its not that then its just bad writing
That reason would have made so much more sense. I would have loved to have seen Damian kill his grandfather out of love for him but noooooo they had to do the "power of friendship" cliche.
I love that if you revisit where Ra's dies in Arkham his body is gone, just a neat little detail, fair certain it' part of a riddler riddle too (I haven't played Arkham in a while)
Personally I think immortality is more a curse than a blessing. Death, suprisingly, is what gives life meaning. People don't push as hard when the stakes are low and probably not at all when nothing is on the line.
I feel the reason Bruce feels it’s all unnatural after he used the Lazarus pits is because of how much things have changed and how he feels it unnatural for a young him to be in a world in which he doesn’t belong
You know as much as l love Batman Begins, letting Ra’s die in a train crash still kinda qualifies as killing doesn’t it. I mean Batman saves the Joker in the Dark Knight but doesn’t even try to save Ra’s, honestly I don’t have a problem with it but Batman is supposed to be against letting anybody die, seems kinda weird
I do actually agree. The logic, while nowhere near the abysmal standards that Snyder set, is still poor. Refusing to save someone in conditions where you know you could save them is about as bad as killing them IMO. Still, it's just one off-colour moment in a trilogy that's generally pretty good at portraying the character, as opposed to Batman V Superman, which somehow gets both titular characters almost entirely wrong in every single frame.
Yeah, and personally I don't like it much whenever it happens. Keaton's Batman is probably the single worst offender in that respect, he's essentially Golden Age Batman with a darker tone. I don't hate it massively though, seeing as Keaton's Batman and The Dark Knight are alternate versions of the characters inspired from their director's interpretations. DCU Batman doesn't really have that excuse, as cinematic universes have a bit more of a burden to try and be accurate to their respective characters.
Ahem! Vandal savage has been living for 50.000 years, and he seems okay. The newest incarnation of hin in Young Justice, tells that his a metahuman, maybe the first one.

Ra's says that he's proud of Batman because by not saving him he has effectively killed him and became the killer Ra's always wanted Batman to be (For reference: In mosy versions, Ra's wanted Batman to marry his daughter Talia and become the leader of the league of assassins, for which the only thing he asked in return was that Batman starts killing)

Truth be told, I’m not scared of dying. I’ve accepted a long time ago that everyone dies eventually. The only thing that I’m afraid of is that I won’t be remembered for making a difference in people’s lives.
I wouldn't. The DCEU should end before it fucks up any more heroes or villains. It has one of the least threatening versions of Joker ever created, a Lex Luthor who seems like he's doing a really bad impression of Joker. Not only that but in those films they pulled a Twilight on Joker and Harley's relationship and portrayed it as loving when it's abusive. I dread to see how they'll ruin Darkseid. They already had his uncle Steppenwolf be the villain of Justice League instead of him so Darkseid himself will probably be done even worse. The DCEU Two Face will probably be an abomination that makes the Tommy Lee Jones Batman Forever one seem great by comparison.
"And so the only way he could survive was to transfer his mind into his daughter's body, which is weird and wrong on so many levels" Me: And yet so Ra's!
Speaking of Batman Beyond, imagine Ra's waking up in Talia's body after completing the transfer. Realizing that the space between his legs is empty, and the fact that now he has a lot of weight hanging from his chest. Him learning to pee in his new body. Learning to wear bra, walk in high heels. Learning to do his hair and makeup. Getting used to tight and revealing clothes. Making sure that his mannerisms ar womanly. Trying out new outfits. Lmao imagine him getting ready before coming to meet Bruce. I wonder if his time in that body made him consider his chest as private parts.
Technically, Killing Ra's would make them the next Demon. Also, Talia technically is breaking the rules of the league, and should have been sentenced to death. Only the Demon is suppose to use the pits, Unless said otherwise by the, Well, Demon. It's also stated that both Nyssa and Talia are incapable of becoming the next demon, regardless of if they kill him, he dies, etc, Because of their born gender. Edit: oh i kept watching, I understand how now.

Also, when you talked about how it was unbelievable that Damian would change so quickly, I think the reason he changed was because he spent time with Raven. As we saw before, he tried to connect with Raven when she was in the woods, but she turned him away. However, when they spent a lot of time with each other and became friends (and the way the writers are showing it, probably lovers in the future), I think that it makes sense.
Two reasons Damian rejected Ra’s in JL vs TT is that he saw Ra’s bitch out and submit to someone else (Trigon) and Batman has been teaching him to be better than a killer.
I think the reason Damian killed Ra's is because he is in denial. All hislife, Ra's is the only person he has loved, but he now knows he's not a good person, but refuses to believe, but finally he had to let go
