You can get them lightened, my versys 650 is lighter in weight not fully lightened, but i had stock can taken off because mine had a hole in it, we found out stock can weighs about 10kg due to all the metal in it and stock heads, then swapped for a sportier can that weighs 2kg. If you slap longer forks and a bigger front wheel with spoked rims front and rear, youd have them capable of off-road.
