    You can do a sinus massage in order to help release the sinus fluids. You take your hands and massage below your eye sockets in small circular motions. This will help break up the mucus in your sinuses.
    You can also do a lymph flush of your neck massaging down your SCMs. The Eustachian tube is what drains your ears and sinus which can get clogged by mucus build up. By restoring the flow, we allow the body to detox our sinuses.
    This is something I would start doing at least twice a day.
    I want to talk a bit more about why this occurs as well.
    When you treat this with medication or antibiotics this can be detrimental to your gut microbiome and well as the good microbes you have all over your body.
    Any time you kill off overgrowth you become susceptible to candida and fungus.
    You kill off all the microbes in your body that help keep the other bacteria in check.
    We are made of more microbes than we are actual human cells! They play a bigger role in how you act and respond than you do!
    It’s important to keep the right balance of these microbes in order to prevent opportunistic or pathogenic bacteria from taking over.
    *ACV*
    One of the best remedies for this is ACV. The acidity in ACV can help kill off any growth of bacteria, yeast or fungus. It will also help aid digestion. 2 tsp in water before your meals and
    Betaine Hcl can also help with this if you are struggling from GERD. You can continue to add another pill until the acid goes away.
    Let’s talk about post nasal drip.
    Post nasal drip comes from the back of the sinuses which drains down the back of the throat. This can be due to bacterial infections, viruses, fungus, candida or biofilms.
    If your problem lasts all year long then you could have an overgrowth of fungus or biofilm causing chronic exposure leading to sinus issues all year long.
    *How do you determine which it is?*
    There are labs tests that can help you determine what’s going on. Although a simple rule of thumb is that…
    Bacteria/Fungus - Yellow/Green
    Virus - Clear or White
    Another solution is to do a sinus flush.
    Salt water using a netty pot can be a great option to flush out your sinus. Salt is antimicrobial and will help rid any bacterial or fungal infections.
    - Most of these have instructions on how to flush out your sinuses using the salt water
    - Some doctors also recommend that you can use baby shampoo to flush your sinuses. You want to make sure that you use a baby shampoo that has the least amount of chemicals and additives
    If the majority of the mucus is being produced in the throat you may want to look at povodone iodine. This can help with infections in the tonsils or parotids glands if there is an infection in those areas.

    • @drtoddstrongDC
      @drtoddstrongDC  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ah, yes. Dairy is a very common food allergy. The increased mucus is an immune response to try to denature the milk proteins. You can either take lactase pill to help break it down when you eat dairy or try to find dairy substitutes. Hope this helps!

      I think it depends on the route you want to go. It also depends on what is causing the runny nose? Is it a bacteria, virus or another issue.

      It has been recommended to me to take ACV, (apple cider vinegar), I guess it’s an acquired taste, but, if I’m In trouble with coughing and mucus, or indeed, coughing and no mucus, I’d try anything to relieve the symptoms. It’s not expensive, the darker the color, the more natural I was told. Might be worth a try, what have you to lose?

    • @nickybritain3661
      @nickybritain3661 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@henrywhite-smith3253 It’s down to personal taste. Some people take two or three dessert spoonfuls of ACV in a pint / 500cc’s of water. I vary the strength between approx 25% and 50% but then just a small glassful of water. I don’t believe you can poison yourself with it, but, maybe take a good spoonful or two, or three, just neat, if you can take the taste. Personally I’d take it neat to start with, anything to relieve the choking feeling when you cough. Screw up your face and get it down your throat! Good Luck. 🤪🤪🤪🤪👍

    I think I have ’Long COVID’ symptoms. Persistent cough, but minimal mucus /phlegm. Any advice? Nothing seems to help the situation, nothing relieves the situation. Some days / nights are worse than others. Very little is coughed up, I just feel my throat is continually clogged up. Wheezing etc, but, I can’t clear it.

    • @drtoddstrongDC
      @drtoddstrongDC  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can try doing some ACV in water 3x a day is where I would start. From there I would look at adding some anti-viral foods, garlic, ginger and berberine. Might need to do a complete immune system reset depending on how bad it is. I would also look at vasodilators to get more blood flow to the lungs. Beet root and cayenne pepper are good for that. Mushrooms are my go to when it comes to immune support to beat out any underlying infection with the natural immune system. Not medical advice but what I would do for myself. Hope this helps!
