Get yourself a powerful wet vac. Clears all the water out the copper ready for soldering. Life saver, especially on flow & returns. Wessex vacs come with a step down reducer for the vac hose starts from 50 all the way down to 24 ish. Hugs a 22mm perfectly, does a great job even on 15mm. Does wonders to clear trapped air in the system and also does waste blockages too
Well, I like the traditional soldering....but the press fittings with the gun is the way forward. You can still do it neat as you did, just a little but quicker and cleaner.
You're Amazing!! Another final bathroom 😄😄 reminds me of Cher's final tours all 8 of them ..😋 You're thinking of the pennies for Christmas say what you like they are lucrative . 😁😁 Soldered Copper for me , we've a new phenomenon over here with newer pex , they appear to be attracting rodents , little bast***s are learning how to pierce pipes for a drink ..
The best surface to re-tile onto is existing solid tile. Ripping off old tiles and sound plaster is just unnecessary expensive work. I've often seen painters strip 3 layers of good hardened solid paint from a door and then give the door 2 inferior soft undercoats before painting. It's either a lack of knowledge or just a money spinner.
I have done 4 bathrooms on JG Speedfit, very fast and no complaints. Press fit is even better though, Speedfit did the jobs well
I use speedfit fit too, it’s definitely my go to choice for pushfit
Rodes sounding good mate! Twistys look cool! Great vid
Cheers mate, it’s made the world of a difference. There good. Will get you out of the shit when needs be
Good lad
Nice work 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great vid, them twisties keys look so handy thanks for sharing
There great definitely a tool worth having
I'm with you on the neat soldering 🤣. Bathrooms I do in hep though, boilers and cylinders it's copper.
I try to use copper where I can but hep definitely has its uses. I’ll probably use it on the radiator pipe to be honest

I definitely need to move over to press it would be so much quicker on the first fixes
Can’t remember seeing you running the bottom joint on the tee coming up out of the floor?
Definitely did, might of been an editing error
@@SmartPipePlumbing take your word for it, you were there😂
I need to file my twisties down a bit good tip. soo handy for toilets ain't used the 3/4 yet 🎉
Takes some doing the 3/4 is easier that the 1/2. I might be easier to put it in a video and cut it
@@SmartPipePlumbingcan you put a link in the comment mate please
@@Ukplumber there’s a link in the description
@@SmartPipePlumbing thanks mate appreciate it they look really good definitely want to try some
I'd do anything to do another bathroom at the moment, sick of jobbing and radiators at the min 🤣
I find that I go through patches of the same work
For a minute I thought it was that one with the sinking shower tray😂
No not address that yet luckily no one’s living there

Cheers pal, touch wood not had a rodent problem for a long time

No it’s called doing the job properly. No actual tiler would recommend tiling on top of tile. They would never warrant it
Definitely not man. Best rip them off, too much movement tiling over tiles
Where do you buy them twisties pal
Dan stokes on instagram, there a link in the description
Unfortunately mate the link you put is private and there is no access to that Instagram. Is there no link to purchase mate
Just use wet vac nice work though, good man.
I don’t have a cordless wet vac. Plus this has an endless capacity where a wet vac might only hold 9litres
Why do I do it to myself....the money...?.😊
Well that eases the headache slightly 😂
Trial some apprentices mate, no point in getting a labourer when you can pay a apprentice a cheap fair wage and get a lot out of it in the long run
A lot better investment than a labourer
I’ve had them before but still trying to find me that wants to learn
🤦🤦🤦🤦😖😖😖🙄🙄
??
@@SmartPipePlumbing you doing a another bathroom 😖
@@AlexRocks24-7 oh thought I’d done something wrong 😂😂
@@SmartPipePlumbing your work is first class. I just can't believe you doing another bathroom 🤓
