Honestly I started this series through the manga (cause LN are too much mind effort) and I thought she was cute. Watching the anime afterwards, the VA did such an amazing job that I honestly cant lie, she is best girl. And I'd go as far as to say she is best girl for mc.
This episode used all the comedy bits they've established so far. There's that BL bit at the beginning, forehead slander, someone getting mercilessly dumped, Kaju being a brocon, etc. If it had a tap water scene we would've scored a bingo.
Nukumizu saved like 2 different relationships and no one can convince me otherwise He talked with Asagumo and helped her when no one else would, and convincing Shintaro to talk to Koto about the confession saved her and him from having a ruined friendship because at least Komari took the rejection well
While i dont think he saved Sosuke and Karens relationship, he gave Sosuke peace of mind by being Anna's friend, he even says im glad she found someone as good as you when Nukumizu didnt have a high opinion of himself, we even hear from Karen that Sosuke and Anna talk about him all the time meaning Sosuke sees him as someone worth knowing
Komari just turned to someone really precious in few ep. I love the development. Btw Basori cuteness is so lethal. She likes the normal one but sooo cute

I disagree with you. I don't think he could give a true answer to her because he was never in a situation where he wasn't hung up on his childhood friend. The part of his brain that could see her as a potential girlfriend was already occupied. And I think you missed the fact that the childhood friend girl never felt threatened by Komari, but realized that was a mistake on her part. Had things happened differently she totally could have lost to Komari.
