Hey guys, there's a Beatles song I've been thinking about a lot lately. It's one of my all-time favourites and holds a special place in my heart because it's one of the first songs that I learned to play on the guitar while singing. I have many fond memories of singing this to my friends, many nostalgic memories and performing this song in my school rock band.
The song is a bluesy classic written by Paul McCartney. The usual lineup is John on acoustic guitar, Paul on bass and lead vocals, Ringo on drums, and George on multiple lead guitars, how could he used so many guitars in a single track?
However, for the recording of this song in Paris in 1964, George played his newly gifted Gretsch Tennessean, which is the guitar used for the bleed guitar for this track, which gave the song a unique sound.
After the Beatles flew from Paris to London to finish recording the song, George added Rickenbacker 360/12 overdubs and a double-tracked guitar solo using his Gretsch Country Gentleman. You can hear some slight note differences on the left or right side of your headphones. Lastly, Paul added another layer of vocals to double-track his vocals.
I already covered this song last year, but this time when I'm redoing a cover of that now, I used my Epiphone Casino and plugged it into my Mosaic 12-string pedal to create the Rickenbacker 360 12-string sound and record that guitar part. I also used my Les Paul to record both the lead guitar in Paris and the two guitar solos by George Harrison. You'll only see the Les Paul guitar in the video, but it's intended to represent a mix of the bleed guitar and the Gretsch Country Gentleman.
I recently saw Sam Popkin's cover of this song and decided to redo my cover, this time incorporating some of the mysterious parts I learned from him. I'm proud of how it turned out. I re-recorded the bass, and acoustic guitar, and remade the video because I was worried about some of the details.
Guitars, basses recorded by me and drums by Ryohei Kanayama

Outstanding cover mate! I definitely reckon the casino through the mosaic 12 string pedal was definitely the right move as it definitely sounds close to the rick 360/12. Also incredible job recreating the other guitars/bass 😊

thanks! just so you know a girl came up to me and she doesn't like my playing recently. that's kinda ironic since she seemed like a good girl but...dislikes my playing.
