Nice video. I just wish you could have a tune that allows you to reduce and increase crackles. I cant stand hearing cars drive down the road that sounds like gun shots... Like the car and set up.

Would you say it sounds louder in the video than in person? I find in-car videos amplify the exhaust sound.
The car is definitely much louder in the video.
I absolutely hate pops and bangs. The xforce with the varex smart box is for grown ups. It has a deep tone with just the right drama when you want it with no drone. Pops and bangs is well truly for the pups who own this car yuk.

2018 R here with ie stage 2 (93 oct & crackle) and tcu. Wondering what did you mean by "updated crackles" at 0:56? First im hearing about this, is there more info somewhere?
I hope he replies, I have a 2019 R, IE stage 2 as well, it’s a manual though, I’m interested in what he means by updated crackles lol
Integrated Engineering is releasing a new “V2” crackle tune for all 2.0 MQB cars. This update will feature a less “manufactured” sound. It will also allow you to turn off the crackles when placed into race or sport mode.

Peep their TH-cam channel. I don’t believe the update has released for 18-19 R’s… yet
IE added updated crackle files for pre facelift cars about a month or two ago alongside their updated DQ250 tunes. New crackles + sport only crackles were added. This is getting added to the facelift Rs when the trueflex files launch Soon.
How is the drone with the Remus?

All the mk7 golf r needs is a res delete to sound amazing, the end.

No such thing as best exhaust. It really is a personal preference. I opted for the Invidia Q300. It is the best sounding one for "Me"
By the way. I run stage 1 high torque APR tune. At the lights i was equal to another Golf R running stage 2. Stage 2 is in my opinion not worth the cost just for an extra 17 hp. We are talking may be 200 of a second should one beat a stage 1.

Why do you call it ‘crackes’ it’s called ‘pops and bangs’ !!
They sound kind of rubbish no matter what you do (golf R mk7 owner) quieter is definitely better
