Nice setup! Looks like you could add another shelf for more consoles! You’ll have to break down and get a switcher though! Get a powered switcher that has two outputs. One output will go to your CRT, the other output goes into a Retrotink then out to your flat screen or PC. It displays simultaneously without lag on the CRT (this is how people stream using retro hardware by the way). I got an old Radio Shack 4 in 2 out composite/s-video switcher off eBay less than $20.
I picked up the gamescare component switcher recently, and another rolling rack! Not really trying to be a TH-camr or anything, just documenting my setup. But I will post a follow up soon, if you’re interested.
@@pfhorsworn I get it, still you mentioned wanting to wheel the cart into range of your hdmi cable; you could plug that hdmi cable into the retrotink and play any console from the switcher on your flat screen from that second output. So switcher output 1 is for the CRT, output 2 is for the retrotink, could have either going or both at the same time. The retrotink won’t add lag, the flat screen will add a little (using a cheap hdmi converter will add more lag). Hope that makes sense, I’d watch, l’m looking for cart ideas.

No, because this TV was so large, I searched for a cart to match. Search on Amazon: "Nexel 3 Adjustable Wire Shelves Shelf Cart, Chrome Finish, 24" W x 36" L"
I just got a 36" Inch today. Took 3 of us to get it in my trunk. I looked it up and that thing is 236 pounds. It's still in my trunk.....I have stairs....I'm going to need to hire a moving company...
@@GameStormerGXSame, I got over that's is around 250 pounds. Feels like 300 easy. I worry that these rack can't hold that much weight even before adding consoles 😢
What size CRT is that? Is that a Sony trinitron 27 inch? If so please let me know what exact cart that is exactly. I’m looking for a metal track cart for 27 inch Sony trinitron
I measured about 2 frames of lag for 240p/480i. And yeah, it failed the 240p test suite shadow test. Big fail. I already got rid of it, and I’m on the hunt for a different TV. I’ll post when I get the new one if you’re interested. But I really just posted this for my friends. I’m not trying to be a TH-camr or anything 😅
@@pfhorsworn yeah, that is such a shame. unfortunately SONY HD CRTs lag like crazy in every resolution except 580p (yes, 580p) and 1080i. Games that support 580p do not exist and you can count games that support 1080i on the fingers of your hands.
@@kahl452 nah, these are just good for gamecube, dreamcast (with a converter), xbox, wii and other consoles with HDMI. Anything older will look the same as a LCD TV

This is a 32” TV. I did switch to a 27” set however, and it’s ok on the rack too. Check other comment threads for the info on what rack it is.
This is a HD CRT, it's not hood for N64, PS1 and SNES. It looks terrible and lags a ton.

@@brodybowerman-rogers1787 technically it does not. But HDRetrovision makes a line of cables that convert RGB to Component that work spectacularly.
