While using AA Wireless, is it possible to inductively charge your smartphone in the car (provided, of course, that there is an inductive charging cradle in the car) to limit the loss of your smartphone's battery level?
Yes, it is possible, but the smartphone will overheat like hell. For long distances I recommend charging via cable

Just received mine and so far, so good. Here's a stupid question - my phone connects to both the cars head unit and aa wireless, is it necessary to connect to both or can I just connect it to aa wireless? Thinking if I only have it connected to aa wireless, it might save a little battery on my phone
You need to be connected to the cars head unit for hands free calling to work, even when using android auto

Does the steering wheel buttons work ? Like play pause next previus track and volume work ? Im interested to buy this thing but i dont really want to lose the steering wheel functions

@@recanything good to know becasuse i didnt really find much info about this specific one, but i saw that others dont work and thats why i was wondering, i have a golf 6 with the rcd 330 display and even tho i have the usb port at the bottom in the button row and not plug the phone directly in the display to look ugly, its still a hassle to keep plugging in and out the phone

No, it is not. This device is just for mirroring the Android Auto, that's it.

Salut. 95% din timp functioneaza impecabil. Are 2 aspecte negative: nu ii plac pornirile dese (de exemplu: daca merg cu masina, opresc la benzinarie 2 minute si apoi repornesc, refuza sa se mai conecteze. Am vazut ca un interval de pauza de 10 min e OK) si uneori arata pozitia GPS aiurea pe harta (dar cred ca e mai degraba de la telefon decat de la device).

The car has wired factory android auto. This device makes it wireless, that's all
I have an Android radio without carplay function. If I buy the Carlinkit 5.0 or the AA WIRELESS and connect it to the Android radio, will I then have the CarPlay function or will the Carlinkit 5.0 only be for cars that already have a cable-connected CarPlay?
This is only for cars that support wired Android Auto.
hi, if you install new application on your phone it show to in AA ? because you say in the movie all app we install on our phone will show itself on AAWIRELESS
If the app is compatible with Android Auto, then yes, you will see it. If it is not available in Android Auto (like TH-cam for example), then you will not see it.

It works on cars supporting wired Android Auto. It doesn not provide Android Auto on its own if your car doesn't have it.
Salut. Cum se comportă după 4 luni de folosire? Se agață, a dat erori? Am înțeles că unii au avut probleme cu calitatea sunetului sau în convorbire se aude apelul pe telefon nu pe mașină. Ms
De auzit se aude bine, dar uneori se blocheaza la opriri si porniri scurte (de ex cand opresc la benzinarie) si trebuie sa il resetez.

Good video thanks but I don't get it. It's just as quick for me to plug the phone into the car as it takes to plug in the AAwireless 🤷♂
But the AAwireless is plugged only once, and then you leave it in the car forever, while the phone is plugged on every trip...that's the difference!
I have ordered one last week, I have tried the 3 CarKit versions, but they all do not work, and when they work, they work for just one time, the next time when you start the engine the connection is lost. I need it for my VW Touareq 2019 with Samsung S21 Ultra. When I have installed it I will let you all know if this works!

Does it consume the car's battery when the car is off? Trying to think if it would be safe to leave it plugged in if i don't use the car for a couple of days or so
If your power supply is cut when you turn off the engine, then no.

You don't have to open the app. Just leave the bluetooth and wifi open on your phone and that's it!

No, you need to have wired Android Auto by default. It just transforms it into wireless Android Auto

From what I saw...around 10% for 30 min driving, in a Samsung S21 Ultra
I wish there was a usb flash drive type to take up less room and eliminate wires.
You know that there are some adapters doing exactly that....

I have been using AA Wireless dongle for for over 2 years with my s21 ultra never had a problem until 4 days ago when I purchase the z fold 5 I get as far as searching for phone and then Android auto just cycles back and does it all over again my phone is saying paired but still won't connect I'm starting to wonder if my galaxy watch 5 is the cause of this problem because everytime aa wireless turns blue and is trying to connect on Bluetooth settings in my car my watch shows up first on list.
It happened to me too with my new phone. I had to do hard reset to AA multiple times before it worked.
@@recanything What phone you have now? S23 Ultra on Skoda doesn't work even on cable... The phone sees the connection but the car says connection failed. I would try buying this AAWWireless to fix the issue, hopefully.

@recanything that's exactly what I did a hard reset on the AA wireless and it now works perfectly.

I got mine and it disconnects from the cars headunit every 30 seconds... Unusable so far. I've tried it in pass through mode with no luck

@@recanything yep, on the latest firmware. Hopefully I'll find something online that helps troubleshoot the problem
I had mine for 6 months. Riddled with problems after a few weeks of having it. Got so bad that it started disconnecting itself every 30 seconds. Dealt with customer service for 4 months and nothing fixed the constant issues. Then they said it's android autos fault. I got a refund and I'll be waiting for them to actually create a working product before I buy again. Btw, the best update made it way worse. They then allowed me to download the oldest version and that didn't help.
You probably need a different cable cause the cable has a disconnection problem to begin with and buying the dongle is to solve the wire constantly disconnecting
@@turboman4635 it's a brand new cable that works fine with all other phones. Their product just sucks and their CS is atrocious. Will not be recommending this to anyone. Its so bad i can't even give it away

Android auto tine cont de limba telefonului, deci daca tu ai telefonul in Romana, pe ecranul masinii va fi tot in romana. Doar aplicatia device-ului e in Engleza, dar de aia ai nevoie doar la setarea initiala.

Bought this 6 weeks ago, stopped connecting. The support from AA wireless is abysmal. Don't buy this product.
Did you try resetting the head-unit of your car? Mine did the same a few times, but I did a reset on my car's unit and it was ok
@@recanything I got a refund from Amazon , great customer service, more than I can say about AA Wireless. Stay away from this company is my opinion

But you can't find it...it's always out of stock...
The Motorola has a very short, fixed cable. Not very convenient. I got my aawireless in April and have no problems at all. I love it.
@@markfll you can use whatever cable you like. this isn't a reason choosing one versus other
@@sonic592 It's a very good reason to choose one over the other. With a longer cable, you can store the unit almost anywhere in the car.
@@sonic592 Unless they changed it from last April, the cable on the Motorola is a fixed 6 inch. That's why I decided on the other unit.
