How Did Azeroth's Human Kingdoms Come to Power? | Warcraft Lore

- The Alliance in World of Warcraft are synonymous with Humans. In fact, the Alliance as a whole wouldn't exist without them.
But how did the most honourable, courageous and populous race come to be on Azeroth in the first place? In this video - the first part of our look at WoW Human lore - we'll look at their origins as Titan-forged creations, their break away from those they saw as gods, and how they were able to rally together to bring down darkening threats both from within their own faction, and from planets beyond.

This was awesome, I myself absolutely love my Human Paladin in season of discovery, I find the Humans story really interesting. But my main in retail is a Draenei Paladin, really looking forward to a deep dive on them someday, aswell as a complete lore video on WoWs greatest raid boss the Lich King
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Draenei Paladin is a great choice though, that was my first character I ever made too :D I'm honestly really excited to research for a lore deep dive on them as well, especially with their heritage armour quests coming up soon.
Primarily a human Paladin in any fantasy type game here. I love the lore of humans in Warcraft.
Humans in Warcraft, especially Paladins, are such a strong archetype - and that's definitely for a good reason! I really gained a new appreciation for their lore after making this, their history is full of just as much intrigue and hardship as any other of the races. Thanks so much for watching :D
Hrm.. if we're getting Earthen Dwarves in War Within.. getting playable Vrykul at some point would be thematic as part of the World Soul Saga maybe.. one can only hope. Still kinda bummed we haven't gotten Night Elf Worgen yet.. ;)
That would be awesome, I'd consider playing a Vrykul if they did become a playable race! We've seen the Iron Vrykul around and about in-game already, so it wouldn't be a huge stretch. And that's a great point too, considering how close the Night Elves were with reintegrating Worgen into the Alliance, not having Night Elf Worgen seems like a missed opportunity. I play humans in WoW sometimes, but my main is a Night Elf.
Which is an awesome choice :D Maybe one day soon I'll eat my words and give the Humans a chance!
@@TenMinuteWorlds I, personally, like to try playing every single race and/or class at least once to see what they are like. That's one of the things I like most about WoW, is their variety of playable races and classes, and that they add more sometimes.

Human are my favorite
Humans are pretty cool, they have so much interesting history behind them!
I wonder if the elves knew that training only 100 humans to use magic that more humans would learn the knowledge from those 100. Unless there was some sort of pact agreement that prevented them to do so. Well done on the video. I think I understand why you don't play human since there are other races you talked about that have more appeal fighting and lore wise. Sorry human kind. 😂😂
It's a really good question - they must have known that those 100 would go on and teach others or future generations. Maybe it was more like, they had Trolls to fight so they decided to only spare the time to teach 100 Humans about the arcane, and then entrust that knowledge to them to pass on as they saw fit? I liked GW 2 humans too, Kryta just screams loser, and declining power, and I love me some underdogs, and feel truly medieval. I don't like Charr, they're too steam punk for me, the Norn, nah, shit, they're just bigger Nords, the Sylvari, the concept of having one mother, don't like it, the Asura, shit's just another Gnome/Goblin, they're a cool race if we're gonna talk about Total War, but as a concept, they seem to belong to Sci-Fi.
I probably shouldn't mention that the Norn are my favourites then :D even if they are basically Nords! GW2 Humans really are interesting though, there seems to be a trend in MMOs where they're on their last legs and barely surviving in a 'last bastion' city like Stormwind, or Divinity's Reach.
