When a cat dies of old age I think it's a time to celebrate their life and all the love they brought. You just have to remind yourself you did all you could and gave all the love you could.
I'm sorry for your loss. We had a cat that we had to let go over the Rainbow Bridge in 2020 who had just turned 19. It's so hard to say goodbye to them. They could live to be 30 years old and it wouldn't be long enough. Nala is happy with Charlotte now.
I am so sorry to hear this. Bless her, Nala stayed with you for as long as she could to comfort you after Charlotte passed and now she has gone to re-join Charlotte. I am sure they are snuggling right now. X

Its great that Nala stood with you this long. I was raised with having cats around me all the time. But only one of them, Mora made it to an old age for cats with 19. All the others died way too soon. In Moras case i even understood it as a kid that i can be thankfull that she was there for so long and thats why i didnt had to mourn alot. But it was very painfull to get over those who went too soon. We all have to accept that death is a guaranteed thing we will get confronted with and all of us will face one day. Thats why we need to apprechiate the time we have with our loved ones.

I found your channel because I was searching brain cancer palliative care stories. Thank you for keeping Charlotte's videos up, she was a beautiful soul. My brother in law has glioblastoma brain cancer, and is expected to die within six months. It's such a cruel disease. Just came across this channel last night. It was recommended by youtube. I went back and watched a lot of the videos and intend to watch them all. I think it its really great that Charlotte started this and that you guys all keep this going. I commend her for her bravery and Her perseverence as a teenager with cancer going in front of all these people and talking about it. It would be hard for anyone let alone a teenager with so many insecurities and fears. I plan to pass the channel along I hope that more people see this and subscribe and keep her message alive. I think she deserves it. I only wish I would of gotten to see it sooner. Keep up the great work and positvity. Eighteen is a good age to reach. My family had a Norwegian who lived to 17-ish and also went deaf - he would walked around muttering all the time and we imagined his monologues "oh, I'm getting old y'know....i can't climb like I used to, but I keep an eye on the birds in those trees...why do these humans all talk so quietly now...oh my legs ache...oh, I'm getting old y'know...". Nala was a real contributor to your family and to the atmosphere of these videos, making sure that your attention was on her rather than the camera-thingy. Cats know what is important. Just as we miss Charlotte, we now miss Nala - and I am sure that you will eventually make a good home for another feline who will brighten your life again.
What wonderful kitty she was, I am sure she is now over the rainbow bridge, cuddling with her beloved owner. I hope to see my cat-boy Nikky one day, who also passed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago.
My mom has a simese we got when I was 15 in 2006. I'm now 31 so that cat has been apart of the family over half my life and I'm dreading the day I go through this. My deepest condolences.
