While I love 4U it’s a little unfortunate that some Horns could not be used as final designs, aside from ones tied to Relics. At least MHFU had the G system for earlier Horns, and it’s no wonder MHGen implemented a way to upgrade any weapon to endgame capability (of varying degree).
I wish the developers had never discarded the G-Weapons, it was a nice and easy system. I am grateful for the system in GU but it is a bit confusing. I still prefer this system to none at all like in 3U and 4U (except relics). Reusing earlier low and high rank models to get a bigger selection of horns would have been nice.
Not only Hunting Horns, every weapons has this problem. It's really a shame you can't bring to G rank Gore Magala's weapons because they turn into Shagaru's at the end of High Rank.
I really like the sound of the Hunting horns that sound like straight up electric guitars! Red Khezu is an honorable mention though so creepy its cool. Actually it kinda reminds me of the boss battle theme of the Moonlight butterfly from Dark Souls
@@Aradoxas having given it a try weeks ago i can also say that the attacks seem to effortlessly flow in a way that i wouldn't have expected. it's so versatile even without the buffs.
I guess I'm a little disappointed to not see any relic-exclusive Hunting Horns, but I understand that the grind to get those would simply be unreasonable. Relic weapon farming is both the coolest and the dumbest thing they could've done for endgame grinding...
I tried to get at least one of each of the 6 relic horn models but I gave up. They are reskins of the basic models anyway and use the same sounds. I started with these videos to showcase the sounds, the models weren´t a priority. And putting so many extra hours into the game just to get a colored nargacuga horn that sounds exactly like the normal one just didn't seem worth it to me. Sorry about that. I´m not too happy about this myself... You´re right about relic weapon farming. I kinda miss it but I wish there was a way to make sure you get what you want after countless tries.

Every of the three notes has its own sound and the performance/encore has its own sound, too.
