After Dallas and the assassination of JFK, even Frank (Clint Eastwood) would probably known those structures elevated should have been included in the perimeter. Maybe an agent spoke up in the early phases of setting up the security and someone shut him down. Sorry for the lives lost, seems there were security failures in this event. I hope this will be a learnable event for future security details, because this has happened before, again with JFK in Dallas. We should never forget our lessons from time, even if it's a newer generation of Secret Service Agents.

I am not a Trump supporter but I would not wish this on anyone. There is no place for violence in politics. I hope both sides take this opportunity to come together in a sympathetic, healing and constructive manner, to agree to discuss their differences in less vitriolic terms. This is not a time to turn up the heat and rhetoric. No one should start to blame the other side for this. Let us hope that cool and rational heads prevail. Now is the time to come together peacefully and look into our hearts. We look to the leaders on both sides to speak reassuringly and firmly against violence of any kind. We look to the leaders on both sides to do theie best to lead the people through these difficult times in a spirit of peace and healing and reconcilitation. That is the only path through this.
