I love how, no matter the massive sound shifts and from playing tiny venues to arenas, the drums have always been so fucking crisp and perfect no matter the performance. Love it.
@@cutcutcutmeup6356Idk about you man but their new stuff is still breathtaking, and they are becoming more and more popular, so going back to their more grimey roots would be a major turnoff for most fans. Johnny has said that if the whole noise rock genre had a resurgence they would definitely go back to their roots.
Thanks for uploading this! Its really cool to see how far they've come after all these years, and I always wanted to see how one of their first performances were like at The Smell. Really awesome stuff! I saw them a few years ago and the energy they bring is incredible!
I remember seeing them open for NIN in Nashville 2008. Most people seemed baffled. We were like is that one guy even singing or did mom insist they little brother be in the show and they gave him a dead mic.
I was there at the Nashville Halloween show, up front on the rail- baffled but also fascinated by the up-close view of these crazy dudes rolling around banging their mics on the stage and I think a toy xylophone? It wasn’t my thing but I was still impressed by the energy. Years later when Death Magic came out I was very pleasantly surprised that it was the same band- and thus my Health obsession finally began. (P.S. If you’re nostalgic about NIN’s set that night, I have several videos on my channel- not the best quality but it was a Casio Exilim in 2008 sooo 🤷)
he's got the trex arms going on at one point during we are water lmfao. and yeah i think based off the song Euphoria that they released/dedicated to jupiter when he left the band kinda says everything

Dude this is so good I wish I could've been around for this era of the smell and health.
My sentiments exactly
Idk about HEALTH now, that whole gothic meme theme isn’t it. I miss the raw HEALTH!

Good stuff. The lady who sold the hotdogs behind the place was cool as fuck too
