Say what you will I absolutely adore the Type 62. It's so ratty and the super fast hull traverse makes up for the lackluster turret traverse. It has really good vertical targeting speed so getting your gun on target isn't too hard, just don't shoot last. The APHE isn't fantastic but there isn't much you can't easily pen from the side, and the HE filler allows you to one shot most targets you penetrate assuming you don't hit an engine block or something. The HEAT is even fairly decent from the front of every tank you'll see assuming you aim properly. Mixed with scouting it can be a very potent little vehicle. It also helps that people think it's a T-54 and don't really know what to do with you

Taking out mod to make it cheap and use it like bt-5 in higher tier make it fun especially when you start getting Rank Does Not Matter Rewards at that point the tank starts paying for itself.

it is, because although it looks like a type 59 which is the chinese t-54a, it does not have any proper armour. when china was fighting vietnam, the type 59 was much harder for the Vietnamese to destroy but they were also too heavy and always got stuck in mud, these type 62 were much lighter and more maneuverable but very easy to destroy.
