- See A2 loco 'Blue Peters' debut after overhaul taking the Chairman on a run from Kidderminster to Highley in Bubble Car 'Flora'..!
See the loco departing Kidderminster and also the arrival into Highley. 60532 then detaches and allows 'Flora' to make her way into the station under her own power before Blue Peter is reattached after a few engineering checks in the sidings.
Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

What a magnificent loco Blue Peter is. The Pepercorn A2 is, arguably, the zenith of British steam design.
An excellent video.
So Nice to see 60532 back in steam! it's been a few years I know but well done to the team that's got her back to her former glory. 🙏👍
As nice as it is , seeing our favourite locos trundling around at 30mph.. Thanks to LSL we get to see them doing what they were made for (well almost) charging up and down the main line with a full rake in tow . Thank you LSL .. you're the best.
LSL dont do things by halves. Blue Peter and Flora, opposite ends of the preservation spectrum and both looking brilliant. And not forgetting the Brush 4 and the coaches either.
60532 Blue Peter looks immaculate. Great job LSL.
Thanks so much for capturing these movements. What a beautiful loco that is.
What a great day for all involved to bring Blue Peter back to steam! If it's possible LSL will do it!! Great capture of the day... and well done for getting to Highley in time 😀
Cheers Phil - Hopefully you can get down to see BP soon 🤞👍
Glad I didn't waste my time standing by the fence to get a photo. All there was to show was ejector steam. Shame, 60532 looks great, when visible.
Love Flora's colour scheme
Spectacular to watch but it's amazing how much energy just gets vented out into the atmosphere
Great captures of Blue Peter I have never seen Blue Peter Before I cannot wait to see it next week.
A Fine looking Combo - Nice shots 👍🏻
Absolutely fantastic 👍
Really enjoyed watching this, superb capture. One of your best videos 👌
Cheers mate.. Bit of a hairy drive from Kiddy to Highley to get there in time 😂🤣👍
@@trainsplanes Haha, I was wondering how you managed it.😀
@@philclarke3203The railway definitely takes a far more direct route that the road 🤯👍
Both equally beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a steam locomotive paired with a bubble car.
I still cant belive she took her 1s passenger Train!!!
Love the little bunny on the lamp iron
Kangaroo, not bunny. Tail is too long.
Thanks not verry good with animals
Moe hitching a ride on the other as well
Truly wonderful to see 'Blue Peter' in steam and looking so great.
I am vintage enough to remember the Peppercorn Pacifics being delivered new in the 1940s, many in that wonderful blue livery.
And then some corporate idiot decreed that all the Pacifics, including the Gresley A4s, had to be in what I call 'cowpat' green.
I recall being a very angry ten year old!
I've seen many of your videos and I would like to say a massive thanks as I've never been to the SVR as my friend keeps saying it a nice place to visit. The last time 60532 Blue Peter went west of Cardiff Central was 1st July 2000 and was in green. I'll give a 15 over 10 from
➡️ 🏴
Thanks very much - Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Another cracking video well done great camera work as usual I am really enjoying your lovely videos and camera work keep your lovely camera work up I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on TH-cam bye for now Philip
It’s been 22 years since she last steamed and it’s also 23 years since she last ran on the mainline
Hopefully a mainline test next month with a bit of luck 🤞🙏👍
@@trainsplanesI hope so and also we don’t want to see her wheelslipping badly as it did 30 years ago
OK, so I quipped about double arrows on the tender t'other day, but having checked, 60532 is classified 8P (actually 8P/7F) and therefore fully entitled to carry BR express passenger blue. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the modern pigment is less susceptible to fading than the earlier shades employed by BR. Hope so. Fully lined out .... wow!!
The main thing is Blue Peter is back and looking superb. Can't wait to see it attacking The Long Drag at the head of a rake of carmine & creams
Brilliant footage
So well fired!
Indeed - Nicely done 😜👍
Great video as always 👍
Love it. 👋👋
Nice1❤😊
Ace 👍🏻 How often at Blue Peters test running days?
Most days at present however the SVR gala starts tomorrow so it’s not running whilst that is taking place 👍
Great video, do you know how long Blue Peter is going to be at the SVR ?
I don’t however it’s likely to be after Easter I’d say..
Thank you 👍
What’s that little thing that’s up towards the engine shed at Highley?
It is the prototype vehicle for what is the 139 Parry People Mover used on the Stourbridge Shuttle
Looks fabulous and it will look even better after the lining and early BR emblem is applied but it needs an additional chime whistle like Tornado.
This whistle which was standard fitting on many LNER locos including Flying Scotsman sounds very weedy and does not do the loco justice.👍
Is it staying in Kidderminster on the heritage railway or gonna move to somewhere else
Trust me, it’s only there for testing, gonna be back on the mainline soon
Whats the Parry People Mover class 139 doing there?
It has been in storage for some time but shortly to be removed from the SVR.
Shame its been grafityd
Is it running again tomorrow because I really want to see it but I don't want to risk it if its going
It’ll be at the SVR until some point next week 👍
If red light shows because didn’t take a driving test enough in UK
🚦🇬🇧
Blue Peter where's Pet Purves! Only Brits of a certain age will get this😂
4:45 what’s that light blue thing on the siding?
That’s the Class 139 Parry People Mover 👍
@@trainsplanes never seen that before
They need to do something about that rubbish NE whistle. They were always hit or miss but that one needs some work in my opinion 🙂
I think they were only using it cos the chime whistle sounded worse, when they departed Kidderminster....
Could do with a stronger whistle
Horrible colour scheme, what a shame after all that hard work. Same goes for the DMU.
All the class 8P locos carried that beautiful express passenger blue livery from 1949 to 1952 dont you know and it will look superb
hauling a rake of carmine and cream coaches. Move over Brunswick Green as there is a new kid in town.😁
😢 you're rather dull.
Superb liveries, both of them. Blood and custard on the Bubble Car; one of the very best liveries ever seen on Britain's railways. Some of the utterly dreadful modern liveries seen today leave me exasperated.
@@StephenDrysdaleBroughtylad A2s were the only LNER Pacifics that never were painted in BR blue. Blue Peter was outshopped in apple green with 'British Railways' on the tender, then after 18 months it went straight to BR Green. No A2s were blue - ever.
Yes you would be correct on this regarding the A2's and although classed as 8P they were dismiised for the blue livery because of their smaller driving wheels but the A1 batch built in 1949 were outshopped in BR blue so Tornado in blue is an authentic.livery.@@alangilbertson8239
A Fine looking Combo - Nice shots 👍🏻
