Class 50s were and will always be my favourite loco, I spent many an hour as a spotty teenager at Carlisle Station watching double headed class 50s accelerating out of the station before the electrification of the WCML. If memory serves me right I saw all 50 of them there over a number of years, shame to see them just pottering around now.
I was at the Swanage Railway last weekend and got the chance to ride behind D6515 and really enjoyed it, they’ve done an absolute fantastic job of it and looks immaculate!
Excellent video 👍 Totally agree about D6515. I noticed how immaculate it was when I filmed it arriving at Woking to work the Jurassic Compton railtour to Swanage last month
I am going on the class 50/33 on the North Norfolk Railway mixed traction gala along with the London transport 4tc and I will hopefully get a ride on it
great video, not sold on the cl 70 diesels, ugly as the back of a bus.there is beauty in the 33 and 50 locos but i think the cl 52 comes in at no 1 in BR locos, down to no 2 the class 70 electric locos as built for the southern region, hot on the tail is class 08 at no 3,
I suspect the no 2 there is supposed to be class 73. Agreed about class 52 as the most stylish and attractive cab-based loco we have ever had; also agreed on how ugly the 70 is, as I wrote on a Dad_Rail livestream chat earlier this year -- and he read it out on the stream!
Good to see Eastleigh busy as usual 👌 😊

That 33 looks amazing, and congratulations for capturing it perfectly.

Great coverage, really enjoyed it thanks 🤩

Enjoy - Should be a good couple of days 👍
I got some nice pictures of 56094 at Grange when the derailment happened.
Now my phone background
I'll be seeing the class 33 and 50 tomorrow at around 5pm as there tour to Sheringham nears its end.
Love a class 50 😎👍🏼
Fail on removal of tail lamp on the 33
Class 50 Helly Hansen loco 😆
Still not sold on the 70's
What is it about them that you don’t like?
From a design point of view its awful. It's like someone used left over lego bricks to design that cab!
@@static-audioI personally like them.. they are like a modern approach to the class 58 in terms of looks

Roaring off with a tail lamp flashing on the front. Not good.
