Couple ideas if you're keen to try them: - Print a visor/shade for the monitor to reduce the glare from that overhead light; Something custom-built in a diagonal shape for your specific layout would probably be cool. - Print a VESA or command-strip mount for your caldigit dock so that it hangs off the side of monitor; That gives you a good chunk of extra space under the monitor itself, maybe enough to slide the keyboard and mouse under when you need the full desk. Great videos, just subscribed!
I really enjoyed that intro scene! That took some work, but came out so nice. I also really like the vertical orientation of the monitor! I had a facepalm moment when you did that and I realized it... I have a very wide angle screen in my shop, but it's difficult to read text as it gets spread out over that format. I've reduced the scaling of the monitor to better fit windows, but guess what I'll do next... :) Thanks! PS I think it would be hilarious if you printed a label for your white drain pipe that says something like "bad ideas go here" LOL
Love following your TH-cam journey with your 3D printing business! I’m just starting out myself, and your channel has been an amazing source of information. Every time I see you working in your space, I can’t help but think: you should do something creative with the tubing running through your basement. It looks a little quirky, but that’s exactly what makes it cool-it gives your workspace character and makes it stand out. Since you’re already making changes to your workshop, why not turn it into a feature? Make it into a tree, a subway map, or even a highway-something unique! Keep up the great work. Subscribed and excited to see more from you! 😊
Looking good man! Look forward to the next parts since this is just part 1. I need to do the same in my living room shop.. which is 90% shop and 10% living room 99% of the time.
Great idea to use the wasted space around those pipes for a monitor. So long as you don't need to view it for long periods. My 3d print area is a tiny room under the stairs (Think Harry Potter) and my office, is the small room above it. Gotta make the most of what I have. Cheers!
excited to see it! i love these types of videos just happy to see how it turns out hopefully i get some inspo as i want to start a business myself but am still thinking about what product to sell 😅
Why you rotate your chair, keyboard and mouse to orient in line with the monitor, not turn your head. Also means he has a TON more desk real estate since he can push the mouse and keyboard off toward a corner when need space to take measurement and such of an item on the desk, or other needs on the desk space.
@@MattWeber the work surface isn’t properly aligned with the monitor and where they’ll be sitting. One can extend themselves to make any situation work but over time they’ll develop discomfort which can lead to injuries if they continue to strain themselves, regardless the limited time they spend sitting there. Anyway, only time will tell how they make do
I find your videos truly inspiring; they motivate me to take action myself. Thank you for that! Could you recommend a label printer for shipping labels? The market is quite overwhelming, ranging from affordable to very expensive options.
Thanks for the video!! I was curious about the blue book "Technical Drawing". Who is the author? ISBN? I like collecting book on this topic to improve my design and drawing skills.
I have 3 printers in my bedroom and 3 in a spare bedroom, if you just printing pla or petg, there are no fumes. From all that ive printed, only CF infused filament, as well as ABS have fumes, and ABS fumes are toxic
@@JIGL37 Dude... I know you think you're right about PETG, but please don't be sleeping in a room with 3D printers going. If you're wrong, you're on a fast track to cancer. I've run them for a few years, and they certainly do put out fumes. I was gonna post about working next to them (I did during covid times, and it really bothered me, but that was temporary) being risky, but seeing you post about sleeping next to them... dude. Just on the off-chance that you're measuring the fumes... my cheapo chinese meter is 100% BS for the readings it gives. Consider buying a decent (not cheap) one that can monitor all PM sizes (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) and VOCs. If I'm wrong, you get peace of mind and "I told you so" rights, heck, make a video of it. I really enjoy your content and love your channel. Is there an e-mail address I can use to contact you directly for a business opportunity? I run a successful 3D print farm myself and have some ideas I would like to exchange with you. Looking forward to your reply ☺️

Cool!
Looking forward to the upgrades and changes around the workshop!
The setup is looking good! 👍
Love the videos

I think I would have used a monitor arm, allowing it to be front and centre but having the option to pivot or move it aside.

Oh you’re going to hate that location of that monitor. I’m getting a kink in my neck just thinking about it

Yesir:)
i have even less space than you so im going to take some notes from this video :D Only one printer tho so it makes that much more easier :D
🎉
Do you use Shapr3D? I’ve been using it as well for designing my 3D prints. Have you also used Fusion 360? Would be cool to see your opinion on the two
How do you deal with the fumes from the 3D printers in there?
