Post walks into the creepiest building on the property, dolls just laying on pillows, kids toys etc, hears banging and goes "that's the wind" lol. Man post you are one brave guy. I'd have noped right outta there.
That burned down building is relatively new, I did a bit of research and yeah, that happened in April 2023. I am from Alabama, though not there anymore. Like you, I won't say where this place is located, but I found the information about it and the area. It was abandoned in 2017, but built more than 30 years ago though which explains the sturdy construction. The shops you saw sold handmade, one of a kind goods such as quilts, home-made pickled/preserved foods and other goods and was designed to be like a "Shopping Village."
@@bobh6728 Well... It *is* my home state... I may not live there anymore but I still know some landmarks. Although someone else fully outed it in the comments while I was trying to keep with Post10's attempt at privacy about the place XD
Did some of the buildings house animals? I'm so curious what was in that big barn/stable- it seemed too small for a horse. Another one looked like it could have a chicken coop. And were people living there and/or renting out buildings as well?
@@lorizeppelina2286 From what I found, there were rental units that people stayed in. There were also shops selling antiques and junk. The one building was a restaurant. I didn’t see anything about animals.
Sometimes in the middle of the day- the Man shows up and says GTFO. Sometimes ppl think they may return, and never do... Lot of old houses have grand dimensions and petty construction, they can be picturesque but awful to live in :/

"Fun" fact: The long grass that has gone to seed is known here in Australia as Whiskey grass. Cause in the 1940's American Whiskey was shipped in crates from the USA and transported by train across Australia. The seeds spread and it is found everywhere here.
Man you are way to calm when you go exploring, the banging that was heard when you were in that trailer had me scared for you🫣. If it were me I would’ve jumped out the window, you are one brave man💪🏾🤠
I am amazed how you find these places so far from home. Kudos to you for protecting the area by not mentioning where it is! Thanks for another very interesting video! Stay safe and stay healthy!
With so many homeless, I've never understood why there are so many abandoned homes and buildings. What a waste. So many people could use a place to live. Its so sad.
Exploring abandoned buildings is so interesting. With so many homeless people in this world, I'm surprised nobody has taken up residence. Best wishes from Wales.
@@samholdsworth420 Or perhaps because there are no stores at all nearby, nowhere to easily get food and water. Most homeless people aren't homeless because they like drinking, it's often a consequence of their situation.
i think youll find that most homeless americans don't want homes, they want what they have access to on the streets. its incredibly sad and human nature hasn't caught up with society, nor will it ever, but there's a reason people live near other people.
Love your abandoned property videos, I'd have run a mile when I heard that banging. Thought you was gonna take that jar of pickles for a eating video. Thank you post10 ❤ from the UK xxx
I worry about 3 things watching these videos: 1. Drug addicted squatters who don't care if youre "just exploring" 2. The condition of the homes and then collapsing 3. Breathing in all that mold Becareful my dude
I really loved this episode. I found it fascinating! I’d be like a kid I’m a candy store! I’m surprised that people aren’t looking into these places! It’s like a treasure!
Maybe an old campsite with cabins/homes for rent?? Great video! I love your exploring and camping videos. Do you have more footage of this place? It's really interesting.
Cool location, nice explore! You always find some very interesting locations. Definitely a shame to see so much potential going to waste, would make an awesome rental income as you said. Enjoy watching.
I have such a love/hate relationship with videos like this. I always see so much stuff I want to save, repair, and/or restore but most people would scream "that's stealing!". I personally don't view it as stealing if it's been abandoned for years and years, it's just going to rot away eventually, so what's the harm in someone saving it? This place is so strange! It's like part tiny town with some houses, part tourist attraction where each building is a different store/service.
Very strange. A lot of retro stuff - a CRT in one room with an 80's Apple sticker, old vacuum TV's, and yet the door of the one store said they accepted PayPal. Cannot imagine what the idea was.
Probably in operation within the last 10 or so years. Selling used and old stuff of all years up to that point. 10 years ago, nobody would have wanted that stuff.
@@guitarcheology I live in Alabama and know the location. It is right off a main highway that goes south to the beach. It has not been in regular use for 20 years or so. Anyone who is south bound will see this place, it’s hard to miss.
Something was up in the baby on the tv house. I could feel something was there with you. No banging upon entry...no banging as you walked by afterwards....also heard alot of evp's, one of note was at 28:34
Thanks for sharing your amazing hunt through these old buildings! It’s quite interesting. They look like an old place that had renters and animals to care for but it’s difficult to positively know. Appreciate this trip👍😊
These abandoned homes must smell so bad. I would probably wear a mask before going in for the smell, but also to avoid any particulate matter getting in my lungs.
Just wondering, if there was one or more owner of this shopping village who ran the business? It would be interesting to hear the story of that place.... By the way, this time (thankfully) you left enough clues for me to find that place from Central Europe. Cheers
I'm a paranormal investigator and love abandoned places like this. Sounds like at 28.36 timeframe you caught a female voice saying thank you. It also sounds like you caught another voice in the trailer house. I have to re-listen to them. The things slamming can be the wind moving stuff and the doors. But this is an amazing find and don't blame you for telling where it's located so people don't vandalize the places. Great not to see any graffiti. Just amazed how people would get up and leave stuff behind. Wonder about the history, etc. Great video and explore. Thxs for sharing
Also (I might just be hearing things) but a minute earlier around 27:30, just after Post enters the building & says “okay” it sounds like something 🤷🏻♂️

Why was it abandoned?
The random banging that just starts from nowhere in the trailer house around 8:30 and you freeze is straight out of a horror movie!
Somebody should gather all those books and give them to a library or something, it hurts my soul to see them like that.
The way the houses are left you would think the families just abandoned them in the middle of the night and left everything. Very odd
Probably some sort of foreclosure !
Maybe the chupacabra got them

Pioneer Shopping Village in Troy, AL. Closed in 2017. No big secret
31:10 the Peanut Festival sign on the floor might explain all the peanut butter jars!
Very cool video. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a clogged culvert on the property.

your commone on peanut butter reminds me of another youtuber who explores old houses and he always finds christmas decorations everywhere!
It kind of looks like it was originally tourist rental cabins that got repurposed into little shops and things, and then was abandoned.
