$26 grand for a brand new car that is known to make it to 300,000 miles with basic maintenance and very few repairs is a definite steal in 2024!
26k but at the dealership once everything is said and done, it’s more like 30k-32k
@@ICU306 Yeah that makes sense with taxes, license, and interest on the loan which is high now.
Agreed. What a lot of manufacturers DON'T want you to have is reliable low-cost transportation. THEY want you to have an uber expensive pickup or suv or an even more expensive electric pickup or suv, but WE the people want and need affordable and reliable CARS. I'm currently doing online negotiations on a base 2024 Corolla which is going to be my next car for the next several decades.
26k. Ouch I got my 23 Corolla le with the convenience package for 22600 and was made in Japan....
Yea but for a 2024 car that costs 26000 with little tech options is crazy. Even a base Kia has blind spot monitoring
That is a great looking car. I remember when people would buy a Corolla because they couldn't afford anything else. Excellent review!
This is definitely a more premium compact economy option now! Especially with the more powerful 2.0 now standard 👍🏼
I love the way you show how a car performs. It's also reliable, fuel efficient, and has excellent residual value. At $26K and with low cost of ownership, it's a sensible buy.
Great point! There’s a reason they’re all over the road, even models aged 10-15+ years 👍🏼
Just got mines today love it
Amazing review Will.
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing!
You're right, Will. That's a great value, and a very good looking car for the money! Great review today, I learned a lot about the Toyota Corolla!
Glad I could help man thanks for the comment! 👍🏼
Just got one and wow it’s really good
I just got the Nightshade edition with bronze wheels. Black on Black. I like it a lot, a little bit of road noise but it accelerates really smooth and handles well.

I keep my eyes open for those videos!
Great review
Thanks! 👍🏼
Great review! Definitely a sexy looking sleek car!
Glad you like it!! 👍🏼
I just got one today ❤🎉
the SE shines during spirited city driving using the paddle shifters, the tranny & accelerator respond quick, makes it fun...
Very true they did a really good job with the tuning! Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
The paddle shifters only come on the Corolla XSE model and the Corolla hatchback.
@@madman1rug drove the SE hatch. not on the sedans? bummer.
@@madman1rug comes on SE too. Just got my SE last week
@@Differentpaths74 My 2024 leased Corolla SE has the premium package, moonroof, etc. But no paddle shifter.
Like 193. I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla SE. Thanks for the 2024 preview.
I decided to lease the exact same car and color almost a month ago and I'm so excited! 😍 Will be getting it soon in two months
🤩
How much?
@@prescottlange I believe it's 28,000 for the SE CVT
Soon, I will buy this & a 2024 Mazda 3 sedan.
Beautiful car !
Color is so pretty
Not a sluggish slow daily driver. More than enough passing power for an economy car. I pulled the trigger when I met a Uber with a 2020 SE with 430k + miles and he said the only thing that broke was the windshield wipers motors and a engine coolant bypass valve which was 700$ total
I just want a Corolla with no road and wind noise. I wonder how much it can be improved with aftermarket sound deadening.
I want this car.
Wish you luck! 👍🏼
I remember when i first blew my horn because this driver was veering over in my lane.
I was actually embarrassed that it wasn’t that loud😂😂 I literally said “wow! did he even hear that?!😒🤣”
i was so used to the sound of the horn i had with my Hyundai Elantra. haha such a huge difference
Nice car!
Have a 2022 Camry SE . get 33 MPG mixed local and Highway. Great car. Trouble free so far. Would consider Corolla SE if needed something smaller .
I turned in my leased 2021 Camry SE for the leased 2024 Corolla SE. The Corolla SE is a huge downgrade to the Camry SE in every department. The reason I got the Corolla SE is, that the Camry SE went up in price by over $4,000, and I'm not able to afford the large monthly payments. I'm retired :(
@@madman1rugI honestly wanted a red Camry, but i had to be real with myself. I could not afford that price. I love my Corolla though. Just the right size & price for my life & pockets at the moment lol😌
When you went into sports mode did the steering change? Or was it the same in all modes
Would you go for the Corolla or Mirage?
I prefer manual seat adjust. To me it's just something more complicated than it needs to be and something that will fail sooner or later. My current car is 22 years old with manual seat adjusters, I can adjust the seat to my needs in less than 2 seconds and the manual controls have never failed in 22 years. It's a matter of perspective and I'm in it for the long haul. I expect my next car to be a Corolla and I expect to run it for decades.
Great point man especially if you’re the person usually behind the wheel. Once the seat is set it’ll usually stay there 👍🏼
Yup, the missus doesn't drive so it's all me. It's totally awesome that Toyota has a 169 hp naturally aspirated engine, they last a fair bit longer than turbo engines and while I would have liked a manual or a transmission with real gears, at least Toyota has a real " launch " gear which will probably extend the life of the CVT. It's kind of cool to see videos of my future car, you get a good sense of the car without having to go to the dealership.
The silver detail on the dash board reflects back in the left and right mirrors, annoying. No heated mirrors. At around 70-80 mph you’ll hear wind noise. Take those in consideration if it matters to you.
Cvt is an expensive repair if it goes kaput...
Also, needing a subscription for navigation is a real boneheaded move, but it's still a great car overall.
Its a Toyota CVT! By the time it goes out you will be well past the typical ownership or already on to your next car!
Who the heck is using the factory navigation when you have AppleCarPlay and android auto available WIRELESSLY
@@jxmar_ built in navigation lets the car predictively charge the battery based on upcoming hills, traffic etc, for better fuel efficiency.
I just got a 23 corolla se it's ruby red pear black roof and paid 27000 for a 23 with 5.000 miles lol the dealership made a lot on me with the used car go for ..
I made the switch to the civic. I'm sorry I did. The ride is bad. My 21 Corolla was comfortable. Now it had steal wheels. I wonder if the low riders are the problem. I'm even thinking they left the shipping blocks in the springs.
The Corolla SE only goes from 0-60 in 8.5 to 9.0 seconds. False advertising by Toyota claiming a 7.3 seconds to 60mph. I have the 2024 Corolla SE. :) Yes, the car is a lease.
Are they still made in Japan?
The taillights and break lights are LED. The reverse light and turn signals are incandescent. Want powered seats? Get the XSE or XLE
I thought the turn signals on the SE were integrated into the front LED accents???
@@Mannwhich on the front yea but the back is halogen
@@jxmar_ Oh gotcha! Thanks for the response!
Sad when car makers can’t give us full LED for the front and rear. How much are they saving with halogen?
We got Dunlap
Is it hybrid
Have fun changing the coolant bypass valve when it goes at around 40k.My 2020 Corolla LE doesn't even have one because I chose the 1.8 liter because I didn't fully trust the technology on the new Dynamic Force engines.
Hey man, just wondering. Does it have a sunroof?
No
Does the Corolla have the Start/Stop feature?
No
In my opinion, 2 door coupes or hatchbacks like the early 2000's Civics looked more appealing/sporty than 4 doors. The following vid shows a concept 2 door future Corolla:
2024 Corolla 2 door redesign
th-cam.com/video/LrHe_EdYyrg/w-d-xo.html
Just stay with the LE . You pay more with the SE if you want the Fancy.
Corolla SE OR HYBRID SE? Which one is better
Hybrid is only a few thousands dollards more at most and you will save on gas.
Should I go for Avalon or Corolla or Honda?
Is it even a question? Avalon!
Doesn't it have bumpers?
Yup , moulded into the Body
Right off the bat...loud road noise!!!
Engine 3:21
wtf is that trunk space. could've used more space in the rear seats
Plz Toyota bring back a new 2ZZ at least 220HP 195TQ at least naturally aspirated
If a third country citizen who is been living here with out pr bought a new corolla what will be the total amount including taxes and insurance plz reply
Anyone know how to listen to the audio from their phone via an aux chord on this bad boy? Lord help me. 😆🤷♀️
Porque las luces hacen si? con esa función como le hago al mio ? Me puedes explicar?
SE no longer has paddle shifters or manual shifting on the shifter. That really sucks Toyota.
Mazda 3 sedan has higher horsepower and torque than Corolla
Mazda 3 claims 35.1 inches of rear legroom. Corolla 34.8. Someone is lying because the Mazda does not appear to be as spacious as the Toyota! I am thinking the Mazda is either closer to 33 inches or the Toyota is closer to 35 or 36 inches. The Civic has 37 inches of rear legroom. The Mazda is cramped AF. The weakest point of the car, plus its lower MPG.
That interior is trash unfortunately. Mazda have a much nicer design language
You don’t buy Toyota for interior and if that’s your main focus, that’s the wrong brand. Toyota are known for their engines and that’s why they have a big following
@@alvinsimba734 Mazdas also have fantastic engines too. The new Prius has a lovely interior.
Toyota interiors need major help. Especially at the prices they are now charging. Cheap molded plastics don't cut it anymore!
Nice Mexico quality.
Such a nice car, but automatic...
I love Toyota but seriously wtf are they doing not adding power seats in ALL models. It’s 2024 they need to do better
The Corolla XSE comes with a power seat on the driver's side.
@@madman1rug okay?
You talk like an Australian 😂😂 But anyway it's fine 😅😅
No manual.DEAL BREAKER.
Beefy 18 inch wheels! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Low profile black tires look ugly
