Good morning Don! Great video! What beautiful forest and the opportunity to do some roadside firewood! Thanks again for posting and sharing your off grid life.
Thanks Ron ! It's always nice every few years they log close by so gives me a chance to find a few nice dry ones out there :) Glad you enjoy what I can share ! Have a great afternoon"
That's a bummer but I'm glad to be able to get some firewood easily! Where we were out n an ice road you just fall them across lol :) Kenny just put out flares an pretend you broke down lol ! Thanks for the comment"
How's she goin'? Nice to be able to get some wood right there by the side of the road. That sure beats trudging through knee deep snow and trying to limb and block up a log eh!! Some cold Don. Stay warm buddy!! Take 'er easy!!
They don't work in the bush if you have much snow but on good ground it's awesome ! There is one point when i hold it up close stop the video & take a pic :) The leg on the back is 8inches long & you will see at what point on the bottom to mount it for the balance point , 3 foot handle with a 3foot snipe, If you can watch the video on TV then you will get a better picture :) Shoot me a message if you need more info"
Yes he's a big help & knows how to get his foot in it when he has too ! We do that a lot years they are logging near by :) Might get back out this weekend again for a full load :) Thanks for the comment"
I used to get pine where a forest fire went through. One of the best fire wood I got. That tool worked not to bad. I made a jig to hold logs and it fits in my truck receiver hitch. Plus one on my front end loader. I made a tub that fits under the log and they all drop into it. Or I have a log splitter on the back of my bombardier. I can us that to hold a log I usually but two logs together and hold them with the log splitter. I left it on the unit when I use to go moose hunting. Nothing wrong using a car.
Thanks for the comments :) Yes I made two different kinds that goes in the hitch receiver & one that can go on the back corner of my big trailer, But you have to lift the log by hand to put it in so I just use my hillbilly log roller quick & easy :) When you love wood heat you find all kinds of ways to make it just a little easier on the body & every once in a while we come up with a new idea :) Have a great afternoon"
Lol ! Some day I don't know if I'm coming or going either ! They are logging 20 miles away from my cabin so Sun thought we go for a ride & of course with a saw just in case :)) Have a great afternoon"
I actually have a pickaroo that work great but forgot to bring it along, You will see me use it all the time when I'm out with my skidoo cutting wood :) I only get the chance to go in the logging area on Sundays as they don't haul then, So I have many wood hauling videos over the last three years :) Thanks for watching & your comment"

That dry wood is a must for the off-grid life! I don't actually look for pine that much, The Tamarack makes me keep window open all the time, Even at -30c :) Thanks for following !
Husky 445, I think it 48cc that's heavy enough for me to pack around lol:) It's cut over a hundred cord of wood in the last 5 years :) Thanks for the comments"

Howdy Don- there have been times I’ve had to cut firewood in the snow. You don’t have any choice with all the snow you get up there. We’re getting snow here in the Ouachita Mountains in western Arkansas. Not much l can do outside except check the smoke house once in a while. First time in a while I’ve been able to fire it up and smoke a lot of goodies. Take care and stay warm. God bless
Yes I don't have to but if i cut in hot summer can't cut where i do but the biggest thing it would CUT into my fishing time lol :) Awesome i love to get my smoker going & use to a lot but the days are not long enough anymore ! Did you get some video of the smoker ? I've been watching for your new ones :) Thanks so much for the support Paul have an awesome week"
@ We’ve been taking a little break through the holidays. Been trying to get logs for the sawmill for the project I’m doing. Haven’t been able to make that happen so I’ll be going to the woods and start dropping trees that l need. Blessings
